A Dutiful Nanny

"Now is there anyone here in attendance who believes that these two should not be wed, please speak now or forever hold your peace." The bishop announced. It is a great relief that everyone stays quiet. The silence is all the answer the bishop needs, "Then by the power vested in me, I pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride."

The bishop of declared Franz Jacques and Beatrice as husband and wife. Beatrice beams the happiest smile in her life and Franz Jacques draws in her for their first of many passionate kisses as husband and wife. You surprise yourself when you don't flinch at seeing your mother romantically kiss someone. Jacqueline and Elizabeth who are sitting next to you but cry tears of joy.

"Soon, that will be us, my sweet." Louis whispers to his fiance. "Yes," Jacqueline rests her head on his shoulder.

The festivities soon commence and continues well into the night. Several delegates, representatives and attending nobles present their wedding gifts to the newly wedded couple. You spot Lord Dietrich. Oh good he made it. King Francois, much to your amazement, eats lightly. Turns out he isn't really a pig as far as food goes. He even drinks delicately slowly. It's Jacqueline and Louis who drink heavily. Soon enough their respective fathers had to send them back to their rooms by their men.

The guests soon turn in for the night including Duke Dolphus's daughter who attended the wedding. You wanted to at least speak to her.

You make your way back to your designated quarters. On the way is your mother's pre-martial quarters and from the door came out Sophie. "Sophie, are you all right?" You ask, seeing her normally cute and mousy face all distraught. Her long auburn hair which was neatly kept flowing behind her back was a bit of a mess. Her conservative nanny's garb did a good job in hiding her body but it did not hide her desirable curves. Her chest protrudes rather prominently. "I did not see you at the wedding."

"My King, I was tasked by your mother to watch over your sister. You did not see me at the wedding because I was here, keeping watch over your sister who is still far too young to understand the significance of weddings."

"You seemed to have had a tougher day than usual." You comment.

"Your baby sister hasn't been waned yet. The Queen would breast feed her herself but well you know better than anyone where she's been the whole day and where she'll be all night." She quickly follows up, "N-n-not that I blame her. Today is a special day for her after all. It just that it wasn't easy to feed your sister using a cup."

You brush her hair behind her ears in an attempt lightly fix her hair. She blushes furiously and shrinks away slightly. "Sophie."

"Y-yes!" She stutters.

"Go get something to eat. I'll look after little Adelheid until you get back."

"Sire, I could not possibly-"

You cut off the loyal nanny, "Sophie, that's an order. Go eat, then bathe, then come back here."

Sophie looks like she wants to protest... for only a split second before she complies, "As you command, Sire. Thank you." She bows and leaves. You enter your mother's pre-martial room and find a peacefully sleeping Adelheid. Soon enough, your little sister may just become playmates with your children.

By the time Sophie comes back, you had fallen asleep on the bed beside the cradle. Sophie covers you with the blanket and sleeps on the other side of the bed. It wasn't Sophie's duty to sleep with the Queen but the Queen wasn't in the room tonight and had order Sophie to sleep on her bed to keep watch on the baby. You may be in the same room as the baby but Sophie had not been given a change of order and thus slept beside you.
