A Different Sentence

It was finally over.

Most of Beel's forces had been annihilated, with a very small percentage being apprehended.

Their leader, Beelzebub herself, had also been defeated and contained by the High Prosecutor Justice.

With that, the battle for the title of Queen of Hell, a war that had shaken the very foundation of the realm of the dammed, had been concluded.

Beel's weakened body was dragged into Lucifer's office by a few of her undead servants, before being unceremoniously tossed in front of the now undisputed queen herself.

"Well, well, well, would you look at that?" Lucifer started as she made her way around her desk, before sitting down on top of it. "It was quite the amazing show you put up out there. I'm willing to admit as much. Unfortunately, it looks like your rebellion only went so far."

Beelzebub slowly got on a somewhat comfortable position on the floor, sitting with her legs crossed as the two undead guards quickly got a hold on her shoulders to stop her from rising any further.

The action only got a quick glance from the Mistress of Flies, before the same turned her gaze back to Lucifer.

Lucifer continued. "Your plans were destroyed, your loyal followers had almost been completely wiped out, with the remaining members being incarcerated as we speak, and your territory is now in possession of Hell's elite. In short, dear... you got nothing left."

Beelzebub looked up at Lucifer, not with a glare of hatred of even a plead for forgiveness, but instead it was a look of complete indifference. That is until her mouth curled up into a smirk.

"Hoho~, Lucy, if only it was such a flawless victory for you..." She said with a chuckle, as she also shook her head to the sides. The response caused the queen of Hell to raise a eyebrow.

"What do you mean by that?"

Beelzebub's smirk turned into a full smile as she tilts her head to the side. "How's Justice, by the way?"

That simply question made Lucifer's body grow stiff. No. She couldn't afford to let the buzzing fly in front of her to get to her.

It was true. Although Beelzebub was defeated, it came with at a cost. Not only were many of Lucifer's followers lost, but her High Prosecutor was currently receiving medical treatment as they spoke.

That's why, even when faced with defeat, Beel could still keep her smug attitude in front of Lucifer.

"I can't see why I should humor you with a answer to that." Lucifer tried cutting off the subject right there and then. That caused Beelzebub to whine, like she was imitating a child.

"That's no fun. After all we went through, I was at least hoping we would have one last talk before my sentence. Eye-to-eye, y'know?" The moment she said that, she cuts herself off, still smirking like the treacherous demon she was. "Oops, that's right~... that's completely off the table, isn't it, dear Lucy?"

Every servant that stood in the room started to shake as Lucifer was slowing getting more and more agitated. They could even swear they were seeing her hair beginning to sway in the nonexistent wind, killing aura emanating and all.

Meanwhile, Beel's smile remained unshaken by it.

'Oh, Lucy, always so easy to read. You'd have way less problems if getting under your skin wasn't so enjoyable!' Beelzebub thought to herself.

She watched with great interest when the queen jumped off the desk, making her way towards the Mistress of Flies.

When she close enough, Lucifer took a hold of Beel's face without any warning, pulling her up so that she was both standing and they were looking directly into each other's matching scarlet eyes.

"Alright, that's quite enough from you." She said while making sure to dig her nails into Beel's soft cheeks. "Don't you think this mouth of yours has caused you trouble enough?"

Beelzebub gave some thought about the question, but once again, she couldn't help but giggle. She was already at Lucifer's mercy, might as well laugh in her face while she had the opportunity.

Lucifer herself was starting to realize it as well. "Well, it doesn't matter. I guess all there's left is to decide your sentence." Lucifer sighed, letting Beelzebub drop back down to the floor.

"Understandable." By that point, Beel had made her point: She had shaken Hell to it's core, essentially crippled Lucifer's most trusted ally and made the queen lose her composure. In all honesty, it was about as good of a sendoff as she could have gotten. "So, 'your majesty', what shall it be?"

It was a simple question, one that was supposed to have a simple answer.

Even before Beel was dragged to the office, Lucy was thinking of tossing the traitor into the Void, a dimension were nothing but dark matter exits, were she would rot alone for the rest of eternity.

But after that little chat, it didn't felt... enough. Above all else, the idea of Beel's mocking smile being the last thing Lucy ever saw of her would only leave a bad taste in her mouth.

"It shall be decided tomorrow."Lucy turned her back to Beel, heading to her seat behind her desk. "For now, guards, take this wench to her cell."

Just as they were ordered, the undead servants didn't waste a single second grabbing Beel by her arms and dragging her away, closing the door behind them.

'There's no way I'm letting that skank get the privilege of the last laugh.' Lucifer had won, and her first decision as undisputed queen would be to rip that smug smile right off Beel's face.

And for that end, a new punishment was on it's way...

In the next day...

"Beelzebub."

The Mistress of Flies was laying down on her cell when she was called by one of Lucifer's guards. There was no doubt in her mind on what it could be about.

"Coming~." Even she knew that the playful mockery was starting to get old, but she thought 'screw it'. She was already committed to the bit, might as well go all the way.

But she would've been lying if she said she wasn't at least curious as to what Lucy had in store for her, considering she had already had a pretty good option in her back pocket.

'For her to pass on my banishment, it should at least be interesting...'

What punishment did Lucifer prepared for her?
