A Decision to be Made (Summary)

A/N: I felt like the chapter where Emma explains herself to Isaac ran a little long for just a bunch of dialog and no action. I think it was a conversation they needed to have, so I wrote it all out, but this is here for those who just want the Spark notes and to move on to the next bit of action. If you want to read the full conversation, pick that chapter instead.

Emma gives Isaac three reasons why she agreed to go to prom with Owen.

1. Because he asked, and was the only one who did (including Isaac who just forgot)
2. Because she actually likes him. He was too bold and brash for Isaac’s tastes, but she likes bold and brash
3. To send a message to Isaac that she is the only one that gets to decide who she’s going to have sex with, not him.

She tells him that she wants him to make a choice.

Option A: they get together in a purely monogamous relationship.

Option B: they get together and she continues to find chances to have sex with other people, but she decides when, where and with whom.

Option C: they break up because she doesn’t want him to just be able to push a button and turn her into a sex doll for whoever he chooses

If he picks option A, then she will tell Owen she won’t go to prom with him, and Isaac will take her to prom and to the hotel.

Either of the other two options mean she’ll be in the hotel with Owen after prom.
