A Decent Reward is Ahead.

As they enter the inn, they see X sitting at a table in the connected tavern. They walk to her, and she motions for them to sit. After they sit, she slides over a small bag to each of them. Each one is filled with 100 gold coins.

X: "You have done well so far. To explain what is happening with the mayor, Joraan is a cult leader that lives in the east mountains. We have been trying to destroy him for some time, but we never could since we never actually found him."

Amber: "You said he was in the mountains. How could ya never find 'em?"

X: "They reside in a hidden base of sorts. Even our best wizards could never find it. But these papers have given us a lead."

Outside, they hear some yelling. Everyone heads out to see the mayor in handcuffs.

Ander: "I assume their connections have been revealed to everyone?"

X: "Yes. We needed to tell everyone. They actually want to vote for the next mayor as well. Either way, we still have business to attend to."

They all head back inside. X hands them a folder with copies of some of the papers they stole.

X: "We need to take them down. Would you all be willing to help us do so?"

Mara: "Are they tough?"

X: "Only Joraan. The rest are not strong on their own. They are said to have monsters under their control, however."

Ander: "This mission might take more discussion to decide."

X: "I have something else that I need to do. I will return in an hour. I hope you will have an answer by then."

She leaves them and heads out of the inn.

Caelynn: "This might be a bit too dangerous for us right now."

Ana: "I agree, but at the same time, defeating them might help this town. Maybe even more people than we think."

Ander is flipping through the folder.

Amber: "What's in there?"

Ander: "It seems this cult has been kidnapping people. Some of these people were found either dead if they were a man, or pregnant and traumatized."

Callie: "That sounds too dangerous for us. If we did go there and fail..."

Mara: "We won't fail. We will avenge those harmed by this cult, and we will save anyone else we can!" She says this while standing up, holding a pint of ale above her head.

Caelynn: "You're right! We need to do something!"

Everyone cheers, all agreeing to destroy the cult. Afterward, they all head to their rooms and sleep, waiting for the upcoming fight.
