A Day at the Office

"Don't call me "pest", "Juggalo"!" Tink stuck her cigarette in between Dave's lips and flew up in Harley's face.

Harley crossed her arms. "Then Don't call me "Juggalo", "Pest"!"

Dave sighed and took a drag before putting the cigarette out in the mostly empty coffee cup. "Pepper engage the fan and filter the smoke please. Maximum."

(("Of course, Dave."))

The system engaged and immediately sucked the smoke and the air from the room loudly drowning out the two's bickering. Harley grabbed Tink before it would suck her up too. Dave smirked. They fought like that because they were friends. They were his.

He'd been surprised when he'd received Harley Quinn for his birthday as his second character as a teenager. He hadn't asked for her or anything and his parents hadn't allowed him a second character for so long that he'd assumed that he wasn't allowed one until he was "grown" or whatever. It's just how his folks, and particularly his father, were.

So receiving a character out of the blue was a bit surprising. Let alone such a colorful one. She was a super rare and odd one too. She was from an extremely low numbered instance and an old "classic" Harlequin/Harley Quinn rather than a newer one who'd been "deaged" to roughly his age at the time. He never quite understood why his folks would go to the trouble of that particularly. It wasn't like he had been a big fan or anything at the time... but he had certainly become one!

Harley was spunky, quirky, fun, spontaneous and adventurous! She'd often been the one to bring fun into his and Tinks little moody years. She'd drag them into doing things, off to parties or have their own, instead of moping around all angsty. Not that she didn't have her moments too... but they were like summer storms. Passing violently and quickly. Plus he thought Harls probably felt responsible for Tinks change too... but that was his fault.

She was also a great listener and dispite being borderline cuckoo herself she gave solid advice sometimes. She had a real knack for psychoanalysis too and breezed through classes. Which made her a boon at doing this job actually. She had a way of analyzing what a customers wants and needs were that made helping them get just the right custom character that was invaluable.

(("Filtration and recirculation is now complete.")) His AI Pepper said resetting the ststems to normal.

"Thanks, Pepper!" He told her.

(("You're very welcome, Dave."))

"Puddin'!" Harley said while she and Tink gasped for air. They hadn't let a little thing like the air being sucked from the room stop them from trying to get the last word on in their "discussion".

Dave shook his head. "Work first, play later... oh shit, I can't believe I said that. Gawd I'm turning into my father!"

Tink and Harley laugh together at him now. "Happens to a lot of guys," Harley says as Tink chimes in. "Yep... better get used to it."

He sighed. "Show me what we got."

Tink returned to work and Harley joinded him showing him what they had on the client's profile and her observations then sat in on the consultation meeting when Tink showed them in.

Mr Kevin Lee was interested in customizing his Gwen Tennyson with a Teen Titans Raven fusion and some horse racing mod work. He seemed nice enough but Harley had been right, as usual, in her profiling. His specific needs wouldn't be met well by what he was asking for.

It took a little while but once he started to really open up about his needs and situation, they managed to get to the bottom of what would be best. Basically he was a big fan of Raven but loved his Gwen, had limited space at home and really didn't want her core character and personality changed. He also wasn't really interested in racing. His needs, and his Gwen's, would be much better suited with some custom Raven cosplay and ponyplay mods then with an expensive fusion and costly racing mods. If his situation changed later he could add a Raven with similar cosplay and fetish mods.

He was surprised and admitted that sounded best and not only did it save him money they didn't try to upsell him. Racing girl mods required a lot of dedicated gym and track time and did not necessarily guarantee a satisfactory "fetish" experience. Saving up for or getting a loan for a bigger place and a separate Raven character with similar mods would actually be cheaper in the long run and give him exactly what he was looking for. He agreed and thanked them setting up an appointment for Gwen tomorrow.

After that had been a consultation with a family trying to pick out their kids first character. It wasn't unusual. Buying a child a character wasn't exactly cheap and sometimes parents didn't really understand what they're kids were into.

Dave rolled his eyes at the squeaking bouncing vehicle in their parking lot the guy and his Hermione disappeared into. *Especially if they're a bit self-absorbed,* at least they care though and they're in love. That's nice.*

The little girl was more into sci-fi then her fantasy long parents and dreamed of being a Jedi. They picked out a nice R2-D2 unit and then told her parents about good nanny software and programs for droid purchases and how useful they were around the house. They also recommend 3S "Padawan Camp for younglings" that was held at various community centers and parks as well as 3S facilities if they were interested.

After another consultation they had to turn down. They flamboyant man demanded to know why. Were they "too good to take a pimps money?"

It took a bit to clam him down but after they pointed out the flaw in having a "ho" that was "nuttin' but titties! Tits fer arms! Tits fer legs! Tits! Tits! Tits!" He'd have to feed her, walk her, clean her after the "Johns" were done... he'd finally seen their point. "No fuckin' way I be doin' that! Not again! Thanks yall."

"That was a fucking weird one," Tink said, "and strangely familiar..."

Harley shrugged. "Yeah... In clinical terms that one's what we call "insane in the membrane"."

Dave chuckled but shook his head. "Tink. Harls. Don't speak bad about the customers. Especially ones that pay their bills. He just didn't think it through... and it sounds like he's done that at least once before so at least he's semi-cognizant." He shrugged. "Maybe?"

Tink and Harley shook their heads. "Doubt."

"Anymore, Pepper?" Dave asked.

(("Not any customers scheduled but it is time to feed number 7."))

"Not it," the girls said in unison and Dave saw everyone else in the small building looking away.

"Yeah," He said. "I'll go feed her. I dunno why yall so scared of her... she's actually sweet. I'll kinda miss her when she's gone."

They both shook their heads as they watched him go.
