A Comfortable Awakening

It takes a while for you to remember what happened, even when it's only what happened right before you lost consciousness. You slowly open your eyes to a bright light, coming from outside. Taking a closer look, you find yourself into some kind of brightly-lit cabin, in a small bed room you presume. The bed you're laying on is quite comfortable, and you're even wearing a soft bath-robe. Getting up from your comfortable position, you notice a figure sitting in the corner of the room. A man, human by the looks of it. He's quite rugged, but handsome.

'I've been wondering when you would wake up,' he says in a gravelly voice. 'Been sittin' here for half an hour now.'

'Felt like I was out for ages,' you answer, scratching your head curiously. At least it doesn't hurt anywhere anymore.

'You were,' the man answers unemotionally. 'For a whole day.'

'Oh wow,' you answer carefully. 'I hope I wasn't too much of a bother...'

'Not at all,' the man answers. 'You went through a traumatic experience, and we're here only to help those in need.' Even though these words sounded kind, he says them with a little cold distance, and you don't necessarily trust it.

'Well, I'm very lucky then,' you smile kindly. 'And who are you, if I may ask?'

'We are the Helpful Woodmen, living here in this wild forest and always looking to help those in danger,' he explains, quite proudly now. 'We're like guardians of this forest. Making sure no harm will come to it, and it will cause no harm to anyone else.'

'That's very honourable,' you tell him. 'Does this happen often?'

'Not very often, no,' he answers simply, then adding; 'luckily,' like an afterthought. 'Usually people just get lost here, so we help them on their way.' He smiles pleasantly. 'What about you?'

'Oh, I'm no one important,' you shrug, not wanting to divulge the fact that you don't remember. 'Just a traveler who got put into a difficult position. Talking of which... I should be on my way soon.'

'That's very unfortunate! Don't you want to meet my crew beforehand? It's only polite to thank them. You haven't even asked my name yet, by the way.'

'I'm so sorry,' you say, the blood rushing to your face. 'That's very rude of me indeed.'

The man chuckles, trying to come across as friendly, but he instead looks quite threatening. 'My name is Genry Hilson, pleased to meet you.'

'Um... Brengar,' you tell him, not daring to speak your last name yet. 'Pleased to meet you.'

'So... let's meet my men! I'm sure they'll be glad to see you!'

'Yes, uh-um, can I please dress myself beforehand, though?' you ask.

'Oh, yes, all of your equipment is on that chair over there, as well as a dress we laid out for you.'
