You are...
A CEO
It was a struggle, rising to the top. From a business graduate you clawed your way up through the company, eyes never leaving that big office on the top floor. Every report you submitted was flawless, every operation you took charge of turned a profit. At last your predecessor stepped down, the board decided you were the obvious choice, and you took the top spot you'd sought after for so long for yourself. Only to find it dissatisfying and hollow.
The work hadn't changed or improved the way you imagined. You still filed the same kinds of reports, issued the same kinds of directives, toiled away on the same kinds of spreadsheets that you always had. The main differences now was that you had a bigger paycheck with nothing you particularly wanted to spend it on, that you had to spend more time dealing with jackasses from your company and others, and that now you had nowhere else to go. Nowhere else but down, that is.
More and more that thought began to dominate your mind. The idea of losing everything you'd worked so hard for, of falling from the top of the world to the very bottom, it enraptured you. It aroused you. And you knew you wanted it.
