A Budding Relationship

Debbie had left Jace after they walked out of the house to go and see what her friends and some of the other people at the party were doing. Jace didn’t mind though since it gave him some time to catch up with some of his other friends as well. He found who he was going to approach quickly and made his way over to the two hot girls.

“Hey you two, what are you up to?” Jace asked and the blonde and brunette looked up at him and smiled, while the brunette had a bit of a blush on her face, which had been happening a lot lately.

“Oh nothing much. Where have you been? You just all of a sudden were missing.” Kim Storm said as she smirked at Jace since she knew exactly where he had been.

“I just had to get something from the house.” Jace said.

“Yeah, I bet that’s what you were doing. If that’s the case, then why did Debbie walk out of the house walking funny.” Kim asked and Jace knew that he was caught now.

“Okay, you got me. Debbie was giving me my graduation present.” Jace said.

“It must have been a lot of fun from the looks of it.” Kim said.

“It was. So Kate, congratulations again on today.” Jace said.

“Thanks. Same to you.” Kate said, smiling at Jace.

“So, are you two staying the night in the compound or are you leaving after the party is over?” Jace asked and the two sisters looked at each other.

“I think I am staying. I’m sure Kate will as well.” Kim said.

“Yeah, I think I will. I don’t want the fun to finish yet.” Kate said.

“Good. I would like to spend some time with you. It’s been a while since we have done that.” Jace said.

Kim took the hint in the way that the younger two were looking at each other and knew that it was time for her to get out of there and let these two talk between themselves. “You know, I’m going to find the other girls and see what’s going on. I will talk to both of you later.” Kim said as she gave Jace a kiss on the cheek and then turned to walk away.

“You don’t have to do that, Kim. I’m the one who came by and interrupted your sister time.” Jace said.

“Oh, don’t worry about it. We were done anyway. Have fun you two.” Kim said as she turned and winked at both of them and then left.

“Well, that wasn’t obvious at all.” Jace said.

“Yeah, tell me about it. So, what do you want to do now?” Kate asked.

“I was just hoping that we could talk and catch up. It’s been a while since we have done that. Not that we aren’t still close to each other, it's just we haven’t had the time lately with everything going on at school.” Jace said.

“That’s true. I have been busy with softball lately, but now that school is over, I have plenty of time until we are off to college.” Kate said.

“Yeah. So, what have you been up to other than softball?” Jace asked.

“Not too much really. That took up a lot of my time just like I’m sure football did for you.” Kate said.

“Your mom isn’t making you work this summer?” Jace asked.

“Oh, you really think that I would work at a strip club? Hell, the only one of us sisters who would do that is Kelly. As a matter of fact, I heard that she might be working there the day after tomorrow.” Kate said.

“I can definitely see Kelly working there to earn some extra money while she is off for the summer.” Jace said.

“More like she wants to fuck and she is getting paid for it. She turned out so much like mom. The only difference is that she has a respectable job outside of the strip club where mom never did.” Kate said.

“So, have you thought about what you want to major in yet?” Jace asked.

“I have a few ideas. One is to be a teacher, like Kelly. I don’t like some of her choices when she is not at school sometimes, but she is a damn good teacher.” Kate said.

“She really is. She knows how to let you have fun while also making sure that you learn. The only better teacher that I can think of is Olivia. She knows how to have fun while making sure her students learn.

“Oh yeah. I loved art class with her. I heard that Ms. Sterling is the same way though. I guess it would have been fine to have either of them.” Kate said.

“Yeah, I have heard the same thing about Ms. Sterling.” Jace said.

“So, how are things going with you and Debbie? You two look happy together.” Kate said.

“We are. So, are there any guys you are interested in?” Jace asked.

“I might have a few. I’m not one that is going to put myself out there though. If one of the guys is interested in me, they are going to have to make the move.” Kim said even though she knew that she was only into one guy and he was sitting right in front of her right now.

“He would be an idiot not to make a move.” Jace said.

“I hope he knows that as well.” Kate said.

“I’m sure he does.” Jace said, smiling at Kate.

“Oh, you think so?” Kate asked with a smirk on her face.

“I do. I’m sure he is just waiting for the right moment.” Jace said.

“Then he better hurry up and make his move before it’s too late.” Kate said, still smirking while also blushing a bit.

“I think he has time. He will make his move soon enough.” Jace said, smirking back at her.

“If you say so.” Kate said and shrugged like it didn’t matter to her at all.

“I do.” Jace said and they both started laughing.

“So, I see Skylar and Patrick finally got together. I think all of us knew they were going to end up together before they did.” Kate said.

“That’s true. The two of them have been dancing around their feelings for years.” Jace said.

“They really have. I don’t know how they didn’t see it sooner.” Kate said.

“I think people can be blind to things like that in their lives. Especially when they are busy with other stuff.” Jace said.

“That’s very true. Have you ever been blind to something like that?” Kate asked.

“Probably a few times, but it wasn’t anything that was too important though.” Jace said.

“Yeah. I will have to say the same.” Kate said.

“I think it is human nature for that to happen. How about we try to keep that from happening again?” Jace asked and Kate nodded.

“Let’s do it. If I see that you are missing something important, I will tell you and the same goes for you.” Kate said and Jace nodded.

“Sounds like a plan.” Jace said.

“So, anything that I should be aware of that I’m not?” Jace asked.

“Well, I know there are some other girls around her that would be interested in being with you even though you were with Debbie.” Kate said.

“Oh yeah? Like who?” Jace asked.

“Sasha is definitely one. I have seen her checking you out all day. Lanie is another one. There are probably some more as well.” Kate said.

“Hmm. You don’t know anyone else?” Jace asked, looking at her like he could see right through her.

“Nope. Not that I know of.” Kate said.

“Well, I thought I noticed another person checking me out earlier. She couldn’t take her eyes off of me. Maybe I should make a move on her.” Jace said.

“Probably wouldn’t be a bad idea.” Kate said.

“In that case, Kate, would you like to go on a date with me sometime next week?” Jace asked and Kate couldn’t help but smile and blush at the same time.

“I would love that. Just realize that it might take a while before I decide to have any kind of sex with you. I need to know that you are all in before I go there since I am not going to give that blindly.” Kate said.

“I wouldn’t expect it any other way.” Jace said.

“Good. I just didn’t want you to think I was going to be as quick as Debbie was with that.” Kate said.

“It wouldn’t have been that easy with Debbie if it wasn’t for our history.” Jace said.

“History?” Kate asked.

“Debbie was the one who took my virginity and we have been having sex ever since.” Jace said.

“Oh, well that makes more sense.” Kate said.

“Yep. So, let’s go see what some of the others are doing. I am glad that we decided to try this out though.” Jace said as he took Kate’s hand and they started to walk toward a group of their friends.

“I’m glad too.” Kate said as she kept holding Jace’s hand before meeting up with Sabel, Lanie, and Sasha.
