What's next?
A Bloody Awakening
After moving all his belongings into HIS new room and leaving his clingy new leech of a servant behind to organize Jin left the dorms followed by Moka and Tsukune to continue exploring the school.
Much to his disappointment the entire campus was the same overly done haunted style as the dorm and main buildings. Jin could enjoy such a thing if they were naturally occurring in nature like the forest, swamps and ocean around the school or if they all weren't something that a 2nd rate director put into their 3rd rate horror movie.
Did the headmaster not care that his school looked like such a dump or was this done in some sad attempt at humor? What was wrong with making something gothic but stylish?
Shaking the thought from his mind the Dark Elf turned his attention to his newest addition to his thrall of slaves while the Human tried and failed miserably to have a conversation with the Vampiress who busied herself mapping out the school as he ordered.
After the Fairy was branded with his slave seal on her back he learned she was the Dorm Administrator (hence the fancier room) and her name was Misty Moonbell officially, while unofficially she was Misty Briarwood. While Jin didn't know the full scope of the fae wilds politics he did know a good bit. Dark Elves were often employed to make certain figures disappear or convince them to change their stance on certain matters from time to time.
The Briarwood house was mid level Nobility. At first Jin was excited to have another doorway into the upper echelons of the monster world but sadly that wasn't quite the case. Misty was a bastard and thus effectively cut out from her inheritance unless all her father's legitimate offspring died out. Hence why she was at Yokai University and sharing a room with the Dorm Counselor (a Leonin who was away due to family matters and wouldn't be back until next week).
Now, at first, with the earings Jin was certain he could pull off a necessary purge and make the head of the Briarwood Household, Lapis he believed, accept Misty as his true legitimate heir, but the more he thought about it that was far too optimistic. Fairies were dangerous A-class monsters not because of their brute force but because of their cunning natures.
Assuming he got past whatever defensive measures the man had on his estate or guard detail it would all be for naught if the proper countermeasures to his earing's effects were on the man's person in the form of a magic item or worse a rune tattooed on his body to prevent mental manipulation. If that was the case then Jin would have one hell of a problem on his hands.
The Humans who thought of the Fae as just laughing drunken fools were utter idiots. They could be like that sure but, behind those carefree smiles was a terrifying malicious intent. For the Fairies it was all in or nothing at all. If they loved you they'd shower you in affection to an obsessive degree. If they hated you death would be a kindness offered only after constant drawn out torture.
'I got too cocky.' Jin lamented in his mind. The more he thought about it the more he began to realize the earings might not be the best thing to rely on for all situations. Lapis, Issa, the 3 Darklords, and many other top rank monsters and those with magic immunity could have the means to ignore the effects of their power.
Even those amongst his own kind could be a problem. While Jin had defeated his fair share of challengers he was still in the eyes of Elven culture still considered child. He wouldn't be recognized as a true adult until his 150th birthday.
His challengers had consisted of down on their luck nobodies and attention hungry fools his age. In other words the useless and the desperate. His Clan Elder, the strongest of the clan, felt no need to claim such fame neither had any of their best warriors.
At least not yet. If Jin tried to use his power on him and it failed being laughed at and brushed off was the best case scenario.
Or worse what if someone's idea of normal was so warped they could outright ignore their effects? He'd heard rumors about Touhou Fuhai being an absolute nutcase that defied all forms of logic. His mother Lana was also regarded as willful and untamed.
If the headmaster was of the same type Jin would have to be careful. As much as he liked a good fight he wasn't suicidal. He'd keep his head down until an opportunity presented itself before testing out the earrings on Mikogami discreetly. Afterwards, depending on the outcome he'd go from there.
"Hey!"
So wrapped up in his brooding Jin almost missed the trio who intruded upon his path.
Two of them were so generic they gave Tsukune a run for his money. Thus Jin only focused on the third and obvious leader of what could only be this collection of fools come to pick a fight. He was in homeroom with himself and his slaves if he recalled. Sen-, So-, Sai-something beginning with an S.
"Sup pretty boy? Looks to me aside from that loser behind you, you've got some quality company. Why don't you hand her over and you can go on your way?" The Chief Moron leered at the Vampire princess to Jin's right while the two he mentally labeled as Fool 2 and Fool 3 laughed. It wasn't a question what they would do to her if Jin complied with his *suggestion*.
The Dark Elf ignored the nervous whimper that he heard from the only Human on campus and the offended hiss of the pinkette. Now Jin could just use his earing's power to convince the rabble to clear out and never waste his time again...but where was the fun in that?
Besides thanks to his dark thoughts from earlier he needed to vent his frustration anyway and three perfect punching bags presented themselves before him. Truly, the Gods worked in mysterious ways.
"Tsukune." The human responded with a shakey yes sir, "Go find a corner and hide somewhere." While Jin didn't care too much if the weakling got hurt he still needed him alive if only to carry his stuff, feed Moka and call his cousin at some point. Then again Misty might be able to help make the Human become an asset instead of a waste of space.
Thankfully Tsukune did as he was told and booked it a couple yards away behind the gymnasium. Seeing him not surrender Moka and gearing up for a fight the Chief Moron shrugged indifferently.
"Forget the loser! You two mess up pretty boy's face and if you're quick about it you can have a taste of the bitch after I'm done with her!" He snarled as the group charged en masse unleashing their transformations.
Jin leapt to the side away from Moka and the two fools rushed to their doom like the lemmings they were. The Dark Elf sneered disdainfully at what he saw coming at him.
Monstrels. Monsters whose bloodlines were such messes they didn't even fit into any specific monster lineage. They came in all manner of shapes and sizes but their abilities were always some manner of physical enhancements or natural flesh and bone weapons.
For the two that charged him one had his fists become a pair of large spiked gauntlets that tore through his sleeves while the other released a set of 5 massive scorpion tails.
The one he renamed Fists charged ahead of Tails attempting a sloppy straight punch while his partner awaited his reaction.
"How quaint, you mongrels have some semblance of coordination." Jin scoffed as he released his transformation. He felt his messy blonde hair extend slightly as it bled into bone white. His brown skin turned a pale blue and his eyes became a black pools of onyx. His slim muscles grew slightly beneath his shirt as a familiar hunger for battle filled his being. "Not that it'll help you of course." He chuckled darkly.
Fists and Tails widened their eyes in fear and disbelief as his transformation completed itself and his aura crashed into and crushed their own pitiful ones. Too bad for them the time for negotiation was dead and gone. Now it was time to show these fools what happened when you challenged someone outside your weight class.
With a wicked smile Jin sidestepped the punch aimed at his torso and drove his knee straight into Fists diaphragm. With the air driven out of him he rose slightly off the floor and felt the Dark Elf grasp the back of his head. Fists tried to wheeze something out only to feel his face smashed into the ground repeatedly until he didn't make a sound again.
"You bastard!" Tails called out incensed at seeing his comrade dispatched so brutally but Jin wasn't concerned. Turning around he saw Tails try to move his extra limbs forward to impale their no doubt toxic barbs into him but not a single one moved an inch.
"You ought to pay more attention to your surroundings." Jin taunted while pointing at the floor. The grunt looked down instinctively and gaped. Jin's shadow had extended from him to Tails' shadow and then climbed up his body like rope effectively holding his weapons at bay.
Before he could try to come up with some way out the Dark Elf charged driving his right knee into his opponents' eye. He carried on the assault by lifting his other knee into the fool's nose. Tails' head snapped upward right into the double hammer fist Jin planted right on his other eye. Just to be petty as the Monstrel fell backwards unconscious Jin stomped his face into the ground with both feet and wiped them like one would with a rug. His opposition dealt with Jin turned his attention to see how Moka had handled Chief Moron.
Only to feel his eye twitching in irritation because she hadn't.
Chief Moron had finished his own transformation and was now a grotesque bulk of a creature with an equally disgusting tongue lashing out at her like a whip. To the pinkette's credit she managed to avoid it to a decent degree but the fact she wasn't attacking was ridiculous. Worse she seemed nervous about fighting the freak. Her! An S-class monster was nervous about an at best C-class wretch!
"Moka!" Jin snapped, "Stop playing around and deal with the mongrel!"
"B-but Master! I can't fight with my seal still on! My father made it so I can't take it off!"
Jin balked in disbelief while Tsukune gasped in horror and Chief Moron laughed at the information. Why in the 9 Hells would Issa Shuzen do that?! Was it some kind of punishment? Was Moka not some naive kitten but actually some kind of menace to society?
Whatever the case Jin put it to the side. They'd deal with that later after the cretin was dealt with.
"Idiot! It's normal to take off your own damn seal if you're in danger!" Maybe the insult was uncalled for but he felt better commenting on the dumb idea of having a seal on one of your heirs that they themselves couldn't remove. Jin didn't know if the earing's power would work but tried it anyways. If they didn't he'd just have to step in and deal with the Monstrel himself.
Moka's eyes widened, like she just remembered the fact she was told that she could remove the rosario if she was being threatened, before her hands reached up on the seal and pulled. For a moment the world seemed to freeze...and then the crucifix came off.
Jin didn't need his extrasensory to feel the change in the air. Moka's energy which had been idling beneath the surface surged forth like a torrent of waves. Chief Moron was forced to back away from his would be prize as her energy made itself known to the world. From several yards away Tsukune choked on his own spit while his instincts screamed at him to run away from the apex predator that just appeared before him.
When the light died down Moka's body had undergone a change of its own. Gone was the pink haired, green eyed, cheerful sweetheart. In her place stood a silver haired, red eyed, stoic femme fatale.
After tucking the crucifix into her blazer pocket she looked at her hands as if this were the first time she was seeing them. She flexed the now claw like digits getting a satisfying pop out of them before proceeding to stretch out her body some more uncaring about the show she was granting her audience with her slightly wider hips and now D-cup breasts.
Everything from her body to her mannerisms seemed to have changed. The three conscious males couldn't believe that this was the same woman from moments ago.
Moka, now seemingly done with her impromptu stretching session, for her part eyed her audience first glancing at Tsukune before completely dismissing him (much to his own obvious relief). Her scarlet eyes locked with Jin's jet black ones for a long moment with the corners of her lips twitching upwards before finally settling on the shivering Monstrel and gifting him an annoyed icy glare.
Speaking of him Chief Moron had been muttering to himself about how great a legend he'd be if he managed to conquer a Vampire. How no one could look down on him if he presented her beaten and broken. How he'd rise to the top with everyone else beneath him. Psyching himself up into a frenzy more and more he roared and charged Moka in an attempt to overwhelm her with his larger size.
"Idiot. Bigger doesn't mean better in this case." Jin scoffed.
The haymaker he launched at Moka was stopped dead in its tracks by a single dainty hand. All it managed to accomplish was send her silver colored tresses flying into the air. Tsukune gaped in shock and awe at the sight while Jin rolled his eyes not at all surprised.
'Her aura alone should've made it obvious to how the rest of this farce will go.' The Dark Elf thought unimpressed.
As Chief Moron began to understand how utterly outclassed he was he soon began screaming in agony as Moka tightened her grip. The worm tried to desperately punch her with his other limb but the Vampiress caught that one with the same ease as the other. She then began twisting the offending limbs to a point they weren't supposed to twist. He was soon on his knees from the pain. In a final desperate attempt he launched his tongue at her like a spear but in a display of flexibility she raised her left leg and stomped her heel down onto the tip of the fleshy appendage into the dirt.
The Monstrel could only bawl his eyes out begging her to let go as she applied more pressure until his arms finally snapped.
Jin idly stood by with his arms crossed as he eyed the show he was presented. He was curious about where his slave would take this.
He watched as she raised her right leg and snarled at her victim (not opponent as that would imply the worm still had a chance) in a voice far colder than any he'd heard from her since meeting the princess.
"Know your place."
Moka then kicked him across his jaw.
Then again from the other side.
And again from the other side.
Over and over she kicked his head left and right using it like it was some kind of training dummy with his tongue acting as an anchor. With it pinned down and his arms still firmly in her grip he wasn't going anywhere until she let him go.
From the sneer Moka had been giving the worm throughout the beating the Vampiress had no intention to stop anytime soon.
Jin could've stepped in and put an end to it but he didn't because he recognized the look in her eyes. He'd seen the same look countless times when the Clan Elder was dealing with insubordination. This wasn't about winning anymore, Moka's victory was already assured the moment she got her hands on the Monstrel.
This was about her using the worm to prove a point.
It only made sense in the Dark Elf's eyes. She was an S-class monster. The top of the food chain. Not only that she was the daughter of Issa Shuzen a Vampire Lord who ruled his kind in all but name and was on par with the Darklords.
The fact she'd been put onto the back foot by a mere C-class nobody for even a few seconds was humiliating. Throw in the fact that she *forgot* about being able to remove the seal to protect herself and you got the perfect recipe for a pissed off Vampire princesss.
The only way for her pride to be healed was with the bastard's blood.
Jin would've done the same were he in her position.
Unfortunately not everyone saw it that way.
Tsukune had somehow managed to work up his courage and approached the scene after 2 minutes of Moka pummeling the other guy and placed his hand on her elbow. The bold action actually seemed to surprise her to the point of stopping her attack for now.
"M-Moka you can s-stop now. He's *gulp* h-had enough." He muttered out. Her aura was overwhelming to the Human up close. The fact that the cute innocent woman he'd been enraptured with all day could be so cold and ruthless probably wasn't helping much either. It seemed to take all his will power not to pass out in fear.
'It's almost commendable. Almost.' Jin snorted at the sight. Fellow slave or not Tsukune had no right to intrude on this matter. The only ones who could were a member of the faculty, Moka herself and Jin her master. No teachers had announced themselves to end the fight, he hadn't told her to stop and she clearly wasn't satisfied yet. So she could continue if she chose to do so.
Her next actions proved as much.
Moka responded with an elbow to the Human's gut and carried on the beating like nothing happened albeit even more violently. All his plea for mercy seemed to accomplish was light a fire within her. Tsukune for his part released his flimsy grip on her and backed up several steps clutching his stomach before barfing up his breakfast to join the mongrels' blood on the pavement.
Jin allowed it for another 2 minutes before he finally got bored. A man getting his face caved in could hold its appeal for only so long.
The Monstrel wasn't even conscious at this point anyway. Whether he was dead or not Jin didn't know nor did he care at this point. If he was somehow alive after that beating and had a shred of survival instincts in himself he'd never waste his time again and if he did...well Jin didn't believe in third chances.
"Moka," he called out not hiding his boredom. The Vampiress stopped mid kick before dropping her cold glare and gave him her full attention, "Wrap it up. We still have better things to do."
She gave a firm nod before stepping off the Monstrel's tongue and with a final sneer of contempt gave him one final spartan kick to the face sending him flying through the trees leading into the forest.
With the target of her ire out of sight Moka approached Jin ignoring the dry heaves of her fellow slave. Once she was in arms length of him she seemed to begin taking in his transformed state curiously.
Jin was doing the same. Up close he found himself questioning even more if this was the same woman he'd branded and fucked out in the forest. Everything from her posture, to her mannerisms to her very aura was radically different. He had to admit that while the demure kitten had her appeals the prideful lioness that stood before him was equally magnificent.
After what felt like an eternity Moka seemed satisfied and took what could be recognized as a knightly bow before speaking.
"My lord, I've dealt with the trash. How would you like to proceed?"
Jin raised a brow bemused at the action. He couldn't blame Tsukune for gawking at her incredulously.
'Before the woman acted like a princess fresh out of her castle and now here she is acting like a knight to her sworn lord?' He didn't mind it but still where was this coming from?
Just what was going on inside that silver haired head of hers?
What have Moka's thoughts been up until this point?
