A Bet

*Two weeks earlier*

Simon grinned. He knew for a fact he had Amber on the ropes. His hand in poker was just too good, there was no way she could best him. Amber groaned from across the table, which gave Simon a brilliant idea.

"Say Amber, you seem really upset about losing this money. What say you to an alternative bet?"

Amber perked up. "I'm listening."

"I win, you have to skinny dipping at the beach on the first Friday night of March. You win, I'll do your bidding for a week."

Amber looked somewhat shocked at the proposal, but it was Rex, sitting off to the side who interjected. "Man, what's your problem? Why are you trying to get her naked?"

"I'll do it."

Rex looked in shock. Amber reasserted herself. "I'll do it. I'm really confident in my hand."

Rex stood up. "Simon, make it double or nothing. You win, I'll go too. She wins, add another week to your sentence."

Jake, feeling awkward that he had yet to say anything, joined in. "Hey, cut me in too."

Simon grinned. "Alright, it's a deal." He laid his cards face up. "Royal flush."
