A... sheet of paper? Again?

Triumphantly, Tsunade presented a sheet of paper. To Naruto, it looked like some sort of official document, complete with signatures and everything. Still, he couldn't make sense of it. "What's this, grandma?", he asked her, obviously clueless.

Undeterred by his question, Tsunade explained, never losing the proud smile on her face. "That's a contract I just finished up the other day with the head of a new clan that's moving to Konoha.", she stated.

Again, Naruto was lost. "So, uh... what's that got to do with me?"

"States here that, in order to be fully integrated into our society, the head of the clan will have to marry a resident of Konoha.", Tsunade explained, tapping her finger onto one of the many paragraphs on that paper.

Naruto couldn't believe Tsunade would include a requirement such as this in an official contract. In fact, it sounded strange to hear that from her. But all that Naruto said to voice his concerns was "Huh?".

Tsunde shrugged. Apparently, she was also a little weirded out from this little paragraph. "Yeah, it's an ancient and pretty archaic law, but in this case, it really works to our advantage. You know, the head of said clan is a girl your age. And she knows you, from what I've gathered.", she relayed, stating all those rather important things rather calmly.

But Naruto knew what she was getting at. HE was supposed to be 'resident of Konoha' she had been speaking off. "So you're using me as your pawn for this scheme of yours, granny?", he said accusingly as he pointed at Tsunade, who merely took to sip on her cup of tea. "Don't call me granny, and yes, I am. That aside, don't tell me you would object to her.", she replied after rubbing her temples a bit. Why was it always causing her headaches to be in the same room as that Uzumaki Naruto?

"But I haven't even really met her!", Naruto exclaimed. What was wrong with granny today? He knew she could be scary, but downright forcing him and her into this was odd!

"So? You didn't really seem to have a problem with Konan here, who you've met... what, twice now?", Tsunade pointed out before leaning back comfortably in her chair. "Even so, you don't have a choice in that matter anyway.", she said calmly.

"WHA-!?", Naruto yelled. Now that was a new low for the Hokage. "WHY?", he demanded to know.

Tsunade nodded. "Yup. For one, I say so. Second, the girl demanded that it'd be you anyway. So, tough break, kiddo. Don't worry, she's not hideous at all.", she assured the young head of the latest clan in Konohagakure.

While that wasn't really that reassuring to Naruto, at least he knew now that the decision was not made solely by Tsunade or anyone else but the girl herself. So no one was ****, which relieved him somewhat. Instead, now he had something to look forward to. "So, when will I get to meet her?", he asked eagerly.

Tsunade cocked an eyebrow. Narutos mood had done a one-eighty in a matter of seconds. Maybe she would be going to hell for this, but she was certainly going to enjoy shooting him down again. "Oh, you won't anytime soon.", she mentioned that fact casually.

"Huh? Why?". Naruto was confused. What was that about all of a sudden?

"After taking care of the formalities, she went back to her home to prepare the move of her clan. She should be back for the marriage in about a week.", Tsunade told him. In fact, the girl had left just a few hours before Naruto had entered her office.

"Can't you at least tell me who it is?", Naruto whined. Really, it was one of those days again when Tsunade just got a kick out of pulling his leg.

"Her name's Fūma Sasame, from the Fūma clan of Otogakure.", Tsunade answered that question.

Sasame... yeah, that name did ring a bell. Naruto just couldn't place it exactly. But he hadn't been in Otogakure too often, so...

Before he could figure it out himself though, the door to the Hokages office was slammed open. A Special Jounin, which Naruto recalled was named Shiranui Genma, entered the room quickly, obviously in a hurry. "Pardon me for interrupting, Fifth Hokage, but Yūhi Kurenai is here and wishes to speak with you.", he stated his reason for interrupting quickly. Naruto always marvelled at his ability to speak so clearly with that senbon needle in his mouth.

Tsunade waved him off however. "She's gotta come back later. I can't right now. Can't you see I'm discussing the future of Naruto's clan?", she said gruffly. This thing was already demanding her whole attention, she just couldn't deal with another matter.

"She said that this is exactly the reason why she's here.", Genma replied hastily. He knew his boss was prone to get scary quickly, so he had learned to speak fast and disappear even faster.

Tsunade cocked an eyebrow at that. "Oh? Well then, let her come in and explain this, because now I'm curious.", the Hokage said with a light chuckle.
