A "Shake It Up" sequel series

Since Bella was most recognizable as one of the main stars of a hit Disney sitcom, it was decided that a sequel series should be made to regain the audience she had previously had with that show, as more than likely much of that audience was older now and still had a strong liking to the original show.

The sequel series, titled "Strip It Off", featured Bella reprising her role as CeCe Jones, the rambunctious, trouble-making wild child now grown up and living in New York City (where the show would be set). Her ambitions to become a dancer had not failed, but changed, and CeCe now aspired to be a famous stripper, dancing in high-end clubs for wealthy customers. Her former co-star, Zendaya, would not be returning to the series due to unavailability from being involved in major projects that had elevated her celebrity status. As such, her role was replaced for another best friend, Madison (or Maddy), played by another Disney Channel former starlet, Emily Osment. Maddy was CeCe's roommate (the two shared an apartment) and fellow aspiring sex worker, though she wasn't limiting herself to just stripping and was dipping her toe into webcamming and even developing her own series of videos.

Other characters included Jordan, CeCe's musician neighbor from the apartment upstairs whom CeCe had a crush on, Mr. Watkins, their perpetually-grouchy landlord, Amber, another stripper who was a rival to CeCe in the club they worked in, and Mark, one of the strip club's regulars who almost never had enough to pay for the dances, but tried to trade off for some wacky scheme or plan he had to get rich. Besides Bella and Emily, the rest of the roles were filled by unknowns; not new to acting or performance, but otherwise not known by Disney until they got hired.

"Strip It Off", like it's predecessor, was a sitcom, though since it was on Disney 18+ it featured a lot more nudity, lewd humor, and even on-screen sex acts. CeCe and Maddy went around their apartment either naked or near-naked, with just their panties on. Both of them also got to dance on actual stripper poles, as well as any other stripper characters who were involved in those scenes. A lot of the humor centered around the shenanigans the characters got up to, especially with hijinks involving CeCe and Maddy's mutual career goals.

The show was in the middle of producing their second season, with the current episode being made involving a subplot of Maddy getting a buttplug stuck within her by accident the day before she was meant to do a big cam show. The humor came from both women's antics to try and get it out before then, most of which failed to funny, yet sexy results
