5. You’re interrupted

Just as she’s about to speak, your own manager calls out:

“Eddie, I need you for a sec.”

You look up to the ceiling, exasperated.

“Later then?” Natalie sounds worried, she must know her work is only barely par on some level and a call into her manager’s office isn’t a good sign.

“Later.” You head over to your manager’s office.
