...
4 hours later
Finally, the guests left. I got tired of pretending to be my mother and went into my room and realized that I couldn't be here anymore. After all, I wasn't actually David anymore.
I take the disassembled, or rather broken, pens and go into my mother's bedroom. Luckily, my dad wasn't due back from a business trip until later in the week, so now I didn't have to pretend to be his wife.
I sit down at the table and try to put the pens back together. Several hours pass like this, but to no avail. Then, almost crying, realizing what kind of situation I am in, I go to bed and turn off the light. I tried to sleep, but the thought that I could feel my mother's body kept me awake.
