The girl slowly straightens up, and then, suddenly understanding the words, wheels around to face you. You worry that she might fall over the edge and share her family’s fate.
“Please,” she steps up close to you, “Would you go to my uncle’s and tell him what happened? He runs an inn called “the Big Bight”. He’s part goblin... My name’s Elia. He can let you have a room free of charge on my behalf.”
“Of course. I’ll do everything I can.”
You walk together back down the winding path, and part ways at the fortified farm where you met.
