2017 (19 Years After The Battle of Hogwarts)

Rose was a first-year student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Even after living in the castle for half a year, finding the way to the classroom was still a troublesome task for her. Her father once told her that she lost her sense of direction in her mother's womb, and she couldn't tell whether he was joking or serious.

Luckily, she found the room in the nick of time. At the same moment she sat down, Professor Binns entered the room by passing through the blackboard. He opened his notes and began to read in a flat drone like an old vacuum cleaner until nearly everyone in the class was in a deep stupor, occasionally coming round long enough to copy down a name or date, then falling asleep again.

Suddenly, Rose heard a loud "thump"; a schoolbag was thrown onto the table, and a girl slumped into the seat next to her.

Rose turned to the newly arrived girl, swept her gaze over her, and shook her head: "You should not act so recklessly in your condition."

The girl was Melody Fowley, Rose's best friend. In the entrancing ceremony half a year ago, she got impregnated by an unknown senior student. Of course, that was not uncommon here: half the female students were pregnant at different stages, and at least once a week Rose witnessed a female student having to leave the room in the middle of the class to give birth.

Melody rubbed her bloated belly and laughed: "I never heard of any case of miscarriage here. Maybe there is a charm placed on the school grounds to prevent that. Do you want to test it yourself?"

"No thanks. I have a lot of homework to do."

All attempts to capture him fail, and the only clue is that he comes from the High Dorm. The Quibbler theorized that a male-born female student has found a way to regain their true gender."

Rose sighed. Only a girl like Melody can believe in such a rubbish conspiracy theory. Everyone knows that the effect of the Gender-Bending Potion is irreversible.

At that moment, the bell rang. All students collected their books and left.
