I pocket the die once again, then look around. I'm at the food court, so any one of these places would be good for a snack. As I'm paused making a decision, I hear voices behind me.

"Hey Ronnie, how was it today?"

"Eh, a bit slow. I have a bunch of overstock now, seems a waste to dump it."

"I know what you mean. Uh... Hey kid! Boy!" I turn and see two men looking over towards me. I point to my chest. "Yeah you. Any chance you want these?" They hold up some bags. "We made too much and don't want to just dump it. Care to take them?" I shrug and make my way over to them.

"You guys sure? I mean, you want to just, give them to me?" I grab the bags from them.

"Yeah, I mean. It'd be a hassle to ring you up from here, besides, they've sat out too long. If you got sick from them, we'd be liable for it. You won't, but legally..." The guy waves his hand from side to side. "Seems like it's your lucky day."

"T-Thanks, guys. Um, do you have anything I can carry them in, they're a bit awkward all separated like this."

"Oh, sure. I have a box that should fit everything nicely. Wait here a sec." The one named Ronnie ducks back into his shop while his friend lights up a smoke and leans against the wall.

"That sure is some luck, kid. With the overstock between the two of us, you've got a nice couple meals there."

My mind flashes to the D20 in my pocket, and somehow, I know that my good fortune is it's doing. "Yeah, must be my lucky day." It's then that Ronnie returns with a large box and I stack the bags in. Once done, the guys return to their shops. 'Hmm...' Setting the box down and retrieve the D20. I look it over, but all I see is a standard die. The numbers 1 - 20 carved into it, a number for every side. "Did you do this for me? Well, I don't want to carry all this back to my house so I could use a ride, if you'd please." Nothing. I think back and it dons on me. "Do I really have to roll you? Fine." Setting the box on a dry bench, I roll the die for a ride.
