16th Legion/Luna wolves

The 16th was made using Gene Seeds from the 16th Primarchs and Aspirants from Terra. Even after growing into adults, only the 1st legeon was allowed to participate in the crusade at first. Their Gene Seeds gave them the ability to be more effective with less training, so the other leagons would have to wait until they where ready.

The 16th's Gene Seeds made them lighter and stronger, making them great at dealing with enemies quickly. As such they where taught how to move quickly and to use more aggressive strategies. Eventually they where ready for battle and given Mark 2 armor. They didn't bother with Mark 3 since speed is so important to their strategy.

An official working for the Imperium wished to make a base on Luna (Earth's moon). The Empress agreed to fund this. The day the 16th was ready was the same day this official and their team landed on Luna to start construction on the base. However they where attached by unknown Xeno's.

The Xeno wiped them out but 1 was killed. This individual was retrieved by Imperial Guards and brought for studdy. To the resurchers horror, these weren't aliens. These things are human's that mutated themselves. When the Empress was told this, she was inraged. She sent the 16th on their first mission. Wipe these mutants out.

What the Empress didn't know was that those first mutants where mearly scouts. There where far more powerful mutants inside their hidden base and they have dark age of technology weapons. Despite this mission being far more challenging then anticipated, their furosity allowed them to succeed.

The leader of the mutants sent a message to the Empress. "We surrender. Call off your wolves!" She was inraged that they would alter themselve so much to not be humans anymore. So she let the 16th wipe them out. She did enjoy it when they called them her wolves though. Not only did they wipe out all the mutants in a day, the dark age of technology tech in the base was retrieved.

Impressed by them, the Empress named them the Luna Wolves do to the Mutant leaders plea for mercy. They would now wear white and black armor. They where given a symbol to wear on 1 of their shoulder pads. A wolf with a wet moon underneath.

They had many mission afterwards but none quite as great as their first, bringing them disappointment. However they where praised as 1 if the most successful of the leagons, only seconded by the 1st leagon. However if they had help, they may even become number 1.

They where surprised to hear their Primarch was the first to be found. They where told of the Primarch's and it was their DNA that made them so powerful, but they didn't know what to expect of them. They saw a giant walk towards them, even bigger then a Custodes. He wore a fancier version of their armor but no helmet.

At first they where intimidated by him, but the moment he saw them he beamed his bright smile. He spoke with an air of kindness an sensarity. He spoke to them as if they where his equal and he would get bashful if they complimented him. They worried. Savagery is needed for their stratagies to work. Could someone so soft lead a leagon like their's? Little did they know that even though Horus is a kind man, he is certainly not a soft 1.
