13. Meli’s daily appointment

You barely have a moment to yourself before there’s a knock at your door. You stand and open it to see Meli standing in the doorway. She smiles up at you.

“I was just thinking, while I was at lunch period, how much I wanted to go back and steal something. So I was thinking I’d better come straight here.”

“I think you were quite right to do that.” You smile back at her and usher her in. There’s no one in the outer office, you’re happy to see.

Meli sits across from your desk almost primly. Her posture belies the reason she’s here: because she enjoys her punishment for her kleptomania a little too much. You stand, leaning against the desk, in front of her.

“So, you came back for a little reinforcement?”
