119. Get on the bitch!

Jealous/Jealous Chapter 3: The killing never stops.

"This has to end," I muttered quietly to myself and walked over to the bloody knife. Such a simple thing, nothing complex, no moving parts, just a small piece of steel with a sharpened edge. I wiped the drying blood away and saw it still held enough of a shine that I could see my reflection in the streaks of red. I looked the same as I always had, and knew there was no one I could ever trust again.

My sister was dead, along with Natsumi and Yuki, and now Setsuko. I had to do something or the evil that infested this town would continue out of control. It wasn't even hard, dragging that fine sharp blade across Azami's throat as she mourned, she didn't even resist. Watching her fresh bright red blood spill all over her dead daughter's body mad a perverse sort of symmetry. She never even fell over, just slumping as if she had fallen asleep sitting there on her knees. And yet the knife was unchanged. A little more blood, but still sharp and ready for more.

I walked out into the kitchen and rinsed it off in the sink and then Chizu came up behind me. "Kenji-kun," was all she said and I looked over at her. She was scared, and understandably so with all the **** in the town, not to mention of her former masters.

"It's okay, Chizu," I said and opened my arms to her. She ran into them willingly, hugging me close to calm herself from her fears and terrors. "It'll all be over soon." The knife slid inside the base of her skull easily and with a quick twist the light in her eyes never even realized she was dead before her pupils went wide. The knife was dirty again, so I let the small corpse collapse from my arms into a pile on the floor. I was about to rewash it when I heard Hazuka scream.

"Don't worry, Hazuka," I calmly said looking at her as if murdering Chizu was no big deal. "Don't you see? This is the only way."

"You killed her!" Hazuka shouted from the doorway, her contorted face a mess of tears. "You’re a murderer!"

"I set her free and saved her soul," I corrected and began walking towards her.

"Stay away from me, you psychopath!" she screeched and began to run.

She was too slow and I caught her easily. With her moving around and screaming painfully loud she was the hardest to release from this mortal coil. My first stab only got her in the shoulder as I tackled her, then her arms deflected several attempts to calmly finish her as she tried to futilely tried to protect herself. Despite her thrashing to push me off I eventually was able to punch past her defenses and got the blade up her gut.

"Kenji…" she gasped wide-eyed and shocked.

"Shhh…" I eased her passing. Then calmly I whispered, "Don't worry, love." She shuddered as I lifted up and twisted the knife. "It'll all be over soon." She shivered and a small beautiful trickle of red seeped out of the corner of her mouth as she must have bitten her tongue. It traced down her jaw and down her chin. My tongue extended from my mouth involuntarily and quite unnaturally as it darted out to taste her crimson sweetness. Then I pulled the knife back out and dragged my tongue across the blade for more of her deliciousness.

"Mmmm…" I moaned, enjoying her sweetness even more. Then I briefly looked down into the clean blade, my glowing orange eyes flashing back up at me in the thin reflection. Hazuka was stone dead now and I grinned. "Guess I'll have to go look for more fun somewhere else," I said playfully as I left the manor house looking for who was going to taste my blade next.
