Chapter 3 by Callous Callous

Who's POV Do We Follow?

(Monica's POV, The New Secretary)

Monica sat across from Miss Lyla Winslow, not making eye-contact with the busty and beautiful dark skinned woman in front of her. She honestly couldn't believe somebody who was the head of HR could wear such risque attire. Lyla wore a black woman's suitcoat, and a short skirt to match. It wouldn't be so unconventional if the skirt was longer and didn't practically show her thighs bursting out of them, and if there was a shirt, or even a bra under her suit; she was inviting men to just gawk at her massive mammaries. There was nothing left to the imagination. Monica felt disgusted, as it was people like Lyla who made women a laughing stock and objects of sexual interest.

Lyla was still typing away. She wasn't even looking at Monica, just staring at the computer monitor, and then started to talk. "I'm sorry for the wait, I was just finishing up some last minute work on your schedule. I still can't understand why someone as overqualified as you would want to be our secretary. An MBA is nothing to scoff at." Lyla said as she typed, her acrylic nails tapping the keys. Monica was silent. "You've got an excellent resume, you would have done well landing a job in the marketing, sales, or our legal divisions. We need people like you, smart, driven, and most importantly, pretty."

"Being pretty shouldn't be important for a woman." Monica replied quickly, lifting her gaze and staring Lyla directly in the eyes, as her fingers finally stopped typing. "Someone should be hired based on their skills and education, not how well they look in a skirt." Monica darted her eyes to Lyla's shapely legs, constrained by the short polyester fabric. Monica didn't feel she was as attractive as Lyla, but she felt confident that her professionalism was leagues ahead. "That's why I wanted to work here. I think it's important I break that stereotype." Monica added.

"Well, pretty as you are, anyone who doesn't know you have an MBA will likely think you were hired solely on your looks," Lyla retorted and point a pencil playfully at Monica.

"I'll prove I am more than that," Monica stated. "I can't help it that my face is pretty, but I will never use it as a tool. I will earn people's respect, and not just be some bimbo who gets special treatment for her looks."

"Awww, that's adorable," Lyla smirked, leaning forward with her hand on her desk. She looked as though she were supporting her thick figure. Her massive tits were nearly spilling out of her suit jacket.

Monica was taken aback. "How is that adorable?"

"Because," Lyla began. "It's not up to you what others see you as. All a girl has to do is exist, and she's seen as a bimbo. Least you can do is use that to your advantage. How do you think I got to where I am? You're educational background is superior to mine. Take a guess."

Monica was starting to see what kind of woman Lyla was. She didn't mind being well-endowed or an object of sexual desire. She was...promiscuous, but sharp. "I assume you slept with your boss, or bosses, and you're here now, the HR head." Monica's answer came off more cold and to the point than intended, but Lyla didn't seem fazed.

"Bingo!" Lyla giggled, putting a hand under her chin. "And I can already tell, you're a total prude. But don't worry, you'll get the hang of it. Being a woman, we have to work twice as hard as a man, just to be seen as half as qualified." Lyla smiled.

"I'll take your advice to heart, but I don't think it'll come to that." Monica was a little insulted. She knew her work ethic and abilities would speak for themselves. "I've worked too hard in college for that."

"Whatever you say," Lyla laughed. "I finished all your orientation paperwork, you're good to start working tomorrow." She reached into her desk and pulled out a badge and handed it to Monica.

"Thank you." Monica was happy she was finally done. "Do you have any words of wisdom before I go? Any tips on navigating the building or anything like that?"

"No, just one thing," Lyla leaned over the desk and put her hand on Monica's. "Stay away from the R&D building. A Lot of freaks work there."

"Got it," Monica nodded. "Well, have a good day." She stood up and walked to the door, as Lyla called out to her.
"If you need me, I'm usually here!" Lyla's voice was now tiresome to her, she hoped she wouldn't have to visit that bubbly woman often.

"Thanks," Monica responded, closing the door behind her. She proceeds down the long hall with windows and passes by a handsome man in a red suit. His hair was a combed-fade of sorts, and had a striking jaw and brown hair. He just stared at her. What a creep. Monica averted her gaze. She didn't like the idea that his eyes were undressing her. A few more steps and she turned to look back at the man. His head was turned as well. Monica quickly looked away. He was staring at her ass.

Her face blushed, as she thought about what Lyla said to her. She was pretty, and a lot of people would see her as a bimbo. And, she was starting to realize, she did dress a bit scantily. Her white blouse was a perhaps a tad too small for her. It was tight around her chest and arms, and her red pencil skirt wasn't much better. Maybe, just maybe, Monica would have to adjust her wardrobe. She continued down the hall and reached the end of the hallway. A glass door separated the main offices from the lobby. She headed home for the day.
