… pretends to be Pria

Waiting Garrett had time to reflect and consider how to play this. The longer he waited the more certain he became that he would be trapped in this body forever. That meant he could do one of two things. He could either tell the truth to his lord or he could lie.

He realised that telling the truth would earn him the ire and enmity of his lord Garrett. And telling the truth would shame him… not that lying was not shameful… but he had to consider how his life would be if it became known who he had been. A slavegirl is good for screwing but is nothing unusual. The captain of the lord’s guard turned into a slavegirl… that was a fate he could abide anyone knowing.

There was a slim chance that Lord Al would capture Pria in his body. A chance that as punishment for his failure he would still end up stuck in this body. But Pria had the swapping device. The first thing she would do would be to find a person to swap with. No doubt if Lord Al captured Garrett it would be some poor random patsy. And Pria would keep swapping. And Lord Al would not know it was Pria…

So Garrett did the only thing that he could think of to avoid his lords retribution. He lied through his teeth. “M-master, um he, that is Garrett took it! He wanted it for himself,” Garrett said, looking up at his lord.

“He did, did he? That motherfucking traitor!” Lord Al snarled. “Voth. Bring me Bixby…” Lord Al ordered.

“Yes sire,” Voth scurried away obediently.

Lord Al scowled as his mind raced. “Did he say anything? Where he might go?”

“No my lord,” Garrett cowered. He feared his lord at the moment, oddly more aware of the man’s emotional turmoil. And strangely that anxious worry made his nipples grow harder and made him feel… tingly and… wet? He rolled his eyes at the obvious arousal fear engendered in him.

“He’s had almost an hour. Enough time to get away… or even use the device. He has a wife though… a life… odd that he just threw it away…” Lord Al mused, mulling the betrayal over in his mind. It didn’t make sense to him but he couldn’t put his finger on why. It was inconsistent with Garrett’s character. That was it.
