”Stop this right now!”

"Stop this right now!" you meant to say it out loud. But what you said instead was. "S-stop t-this right now..." you say timidly, as you try to shake Valerie off from you. She just laughs and backs away a bit. "Well, look at you! Finding your bone back!" she says while patting your back.

She then moves her chair back to her desk. "Well, you don't need my help with your homework anymore then," she says while focusing on her work. This catches you by surprise. You thought that Valerie was going to double down. But instead, she listened to you and backed away.

You feel like you are stunned. One moment, you feel like you are in bliss. The warmth you felt, was incredible. You felt like you were cared for and loved. But now you feel cold, left out in the dark. You keep your eye on her, expecting her to do something. Anything but instead you got nothing.

You bite your lips and tap your legs. As you start to feel nervous, you know you did nothing wrong. Yet it feels like you made the worst mistake in your life. Then she looks at you, tilting her head and pretending to look confused. But you know, she knew, what she was doing to you.

She gives you that innocent smile she always gives to you.

Then Valerie slides a note on top of your desk. Afterward, she returned to what she was doing. Opening the note up, it reads.

Reading the note makes your face flustered. You look at Valerie and you can see that she already laughing at your reaction. But then you hear the bell ring, giving you a reason to leave the room quickly out of embarrassment.
