What do you say to Troy?
“sup troy”
Troy looks up at you, but does not say a word.
“What are you eating?” You say.
“Why? It’s my food.” Troy says without looking up from his sandwich.
All your friends warned you about rooming with Troy, but you needed a place to live after living with your ex-girlfriend’s parents. “How bad could it be? We’re all adults.” You thought. It was that bad.
You were used to Troy’s snarky responses, but for some reason this one upset you. You fantasized about choking him until he could barely breathe. The thought of him helpless to you made you excited, but you quickly snap out of it.
You feel your phone buzz. When you pick it up you see a text from your boss, Casey. Casey was in his mid-30s but solely ran Fred’s diner after his dad, Fred, got sick. You think that Casey is very charismatic and could be a lot more successful if he left the restaurant. His text says:
“Hey, can you please stop by my apartment and grab my wallet? I left it there and have to open the place.”
