Chapter 9 by Sim8425 Sim8425

What did she say?

“Well… I guess we could go to my house."

“Well… I guess we could go to my house. I hope my mom is still working though,” she tells he, still thinking the situation over in her head.

"Okay, sounds like a plan,” John responds to her suggestion, as the two walk down the hallway, and towards an exit. They head into the empty parking lot, finding his car sitting there in the lonesome.

"Hey, I never knew you had a car, I'm impressed," Rachel says, turning to him with a dazzling smile, which shows off her splendid white teeth.

"Well ummmm... yeah... uh," he mumbles with the biggest grin on his face, feeling proud in knowing that he's impressed this beautiful girl. Rachel giggles as he stutters. He pulls out of the lot slowly and carefully, and then he hit the road. He drives very slowly and cautiously.

"You drive slower than my grandma," Rachel exclaims, poking fun at his **** cautious-nature. She gives him a light elbow and giggles. He just sighs. He set his eyes back on the road, as his drive smoothly, with Rachel giving his instructions.

"Oh I know that area,” John tells her, knowing exactly where she lives.

"Great then, we should have no problem getting there," Rachel's voice chimes happily. Suddenly, he hears the radio being fiddled with. Rachel switched off of his favorite station, and put on a more upbeat one.

"WWWWELCOME TO EEEEEENERGY RAAAAAADIO,” John hears the station blast loudly into his ears. Some high-energy dance song that he’s never heard of blasts into his hears, deafening him. This music doesn't appeal to him, but he's more than happy to fulfill Rachel's needs.

"This is my faaavourite station," Rachel cheerfully admits to him. She hums along with the song on the radio, and then fully sings along. If he were bold and uncaring, he'd tell Rachel that she doesn't have the best singing voice, but he bear with the horrible song, and her not-so-good singing voice. He then enters the court where she lives.

"So which house is yours?” John questions the perky redhead.

"Number twenty-eight," she excitedly replies. He drives up and eases into her parking lot.

"Nooo, park on the side, not in the lot, you'll be blocked out if my mom gets home," Rachel immediately explains. She then goes back to her sing-along with the radio. He obeys her instructions, and gets the car into position. He turns the key, ending the terrible song, and Rachel's horrible singing session.

"One day we should just drive around. Just me and you," Rachel suggests. The thought of loud music and her singing along for a long drive gives him a migraine.

"Ummm... That would be great!” John says lying through his teeth. He and Rachel exit the car, and head towards the door of her house.

What next?
