“Hello. Are you okay?” You ask.
The sobbing quiets. There is a hiccup. “Yeah... I’m... I have my first... you know...” she says, clearly embarrassed. “I feel so... emotional. It’s the worst... and it’s gross. I just want to go home...”
“Um... is there anything I can do?” You ask.
“No... just leave me alone...” the girl responds.
“Um... I’m Janet Coyne,” you say, the name coming to you naturally. The girl doesn’t answer. “Hello?”
“Go away. Please. You can’t help. I just need to get my head around... this...” you hear faintly.
“Do you have a name?” You ask. She doesn’t answer.
