“I never thought we’d be using the board for this…” Rob Henderson said “stop pulling on your tie…”

“It feels like it’s chaffing…” Lewis “why couldn’t I do this as Ebony”

“Because knowing you, you would not be trusted to not outshine the bride…”

Lewis made a mocking tone response as Mr Grant walked over to them.

“How do I look?”

“Same as usual, boss…” Rob told him.

“Oh come on…” Grant said before looking at Lewis.

“What? I have no eye for masculine fashion. You know I prefer to be in public in a dress.”

“We know, RuPaul…”

“Hey… do not compare me to that mainstream media sellout…”

“Knock it off… it’s time”. Reverend Hank Jones, who one year prior played one of the black bishops said.

April and Tanya stepped forward. Tanya was a bridesmaid, while April Matron of Honor. Rob was best man and Lewis a groomsman, meaning they weren’t partners with their actual partners.

“Here comes the Bride” echoed though the hall as Alesha stepped out. She had realized quite quickly she was a trans woman, and despite being almost half his age, Mr Grant and her had fallen madly in love.

Today she would become Mrs. Fredrick Grant.

She reached the arch of flowers set up on the edge of the board, passing many of the players who’d been there that day. Many were now in solid relationships of thier own.

Even Rob and Tanya had been together since that day, though they were holding off on getting married for now.

“Hello beautiful” Mr Grant said as his bride stood before him.

“Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today in the sight of God and our esteemed members and supported to join this man and this woman in holy matrimony. If anyone here knows a reason why these two should jot be wed, speak now or forever hold your peace.”

“Fredrick Grant, do you take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife?”

“I do.”

“Alesha Moore, do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?”

“I do.”

“Then by the power invested in me by God and by the state of New York, I proudly declare you to be husband and wife. Mr. Grant, you may kiss your bride!”
