Year of 2264, end of summer and beginning of autumn.

Neo-Francisco - San Francisco, California

Neo-Miami - Miami, Florida

Neo-Seattle - Seattle, Washington

Neo-Vega - Las Vegas, Nevada

Earth's Moon Resort - Moon

By the start of the 23rd Century, the known major nations go through increased financial success, which quiets down the 21st Century Oil War fought in Iraq. By 2201 all American troops stationed in Iraq are sent back home to America. Little is known of democracy in the Middle East, and the ordeal in the surrounding areas continue. America, due to its financial increase, completely ignores all issues regarding the democratic status in the Middle East.

Instead, America strengthens its major cities and change their names due to their completely new strongholds. Major cities build massive glass domes prefectures and/or domed elevated cityscapes.

Transportation isn't limited to the roadways anymore. Major scientific and R&D projects have produced new technology in the late 22nd Century. Flying vehicles and assembly lines are manufactured, repulsor-lift transportation is mass produced, and the ability to easily travel to the the Moon have been made possible. Settling of the Moon has been made possible and by the year 2250, 34% of the lit face of the Moon is inhabited. Unfortunately, legislative governments win by having the moon as a massive casino resort instead of a interstellar refuge.

Plot:

Story follows Ellen "Lena" Kyobashi as she travels from Neo-Amsterdam to Neo-Francisco for college. She is to be living with her uncle on her mother's side, Carlos Sanchez. Not known to her mother or her siblings, she secretly wants to go to Neo-Francisco to search for her father and learn of his whereabouts and/or status.

Characters:

--Ellen "Lena" Kyobashi - 18 - Daughter of Hotaru Kyobashi and Maria Sanchez. She is Korean-Hispanic-American. Takes the looks of her father more than her mother. Wants to be just like her father, who was a detective. Considered as "Daddy's Girl" to her siblings and relatives, even though she has good relationships with her mother. Has two older brothers and one older sister. Her siblings take the looks of their mother more than their father. Often introverted and shy, she is a complete opposite of her siblings.

--Hotaru Nayama Kyobashi - 46 - Father of Ellen "Lena" Kyobashi and husband of Maria Sanchez Kyobashi. A detective previously assigned to Neo-Amsterdam, but was reassigned to Neo-Francisco due to a major case originating from that area. Further information of his status and whereabouts are unknown.

--Maria Sanchez Kyobashi - 43 - Mother of Ellen "Lena" Kyobashi and wife of Hotaru Nayama Kyobashi. A working mother who lives in Neo-Amsterdam in the Manhattan Dome, offshore of the Manhattan Island and Brooklyn. Works as the manager of a chain of medium sized, but popular "Dome Restaurants." Extremely supportive of her children's abilities and extremely meticulous of her children's lives. Since her husband departure, she has grown more distant from him to the point that he is in fact dead. Wants Ellen to believe this fact, though she often fails to penetrate Ellen's strong will.

--Randy Kyobashi - 26 - Eldest brother of Ellen "Lena" Kyobashi. Lives in Neo-Seattle and works with his brother Richard Kyobashi as the two enterpeneurs for RRK Engineering & Development. He is considered Ellen's "Big Brother" and she usually confides with him unlike her other siblings.

--Richard Kyobashi - 25 - Second oldest brother of Ellen "Lena" Kyobashi. Lives in Neo-Seattle and works with his older brother for RRK Engineering & Development. He's the little joker of the family often teasing his two little sisters and getting into fights with his older brother.

--Monica Kyobashi - 22 - Older sister of Ellen "Lena" Kyobashi. Lives in Neo-Amsterdam, in the Manhattan Dome as well as her mother. She is a part-time student at the First Neo-Amsterdam Dome University and a part-time worker at one of two major clothing retailers. Like her mother, she believes that her father is dead and wants Ellen to believe that fact.

--Carlos Sanchez - 48 - Ellen's uncle on her mother's side. Lives in Neo-Francisco, in the Embarcadero E-Prefecture (E means elevated, as in the elevated Dome prefectures). Works as a bartender at the Skyline Tavern on the east side of the E-Prefecture. Has offered Ellen to live with him as she goes to school in Neo-Francisco.

--Nyomi Itsuke - 18 - Ellen Kyobashi's best friend and one of the few people who calls Ellen by her nickname, Lena. Considered Ellen's opposite, Nyomi is outgoing and extremely talkative. Also is very careful with her boyfriend, and also by being his bodyguard against other girls.

--Ryosuke "Ry" Chen - 20 - Nyomi Itsuke's boyfriend and Ellen's friend. Like Nyomi, he is one of the few people who calls Ellen by her nickname. Also like Nyomi, he is extroverted and popular around campus. Even though he is the boyfriend of Nyomi, he holds a great love, either brotherly or some other kind, towards Ellen.

--D.J. Fujiwara - 19 - Classmate of Ellen, in Engineering class. Mostly considered a geek or a dork, he is similar to Ellen for his **** shyness. Often seen in the lab doing homework or projects or in the library extensively studying. Has a burdensome crush for Ellen but often fails to tell her his secret.

--Takeshi "T.K." Kurusawa - 40 - Hotaru Kyobashi's junior partner when assigned in Neo-Amsterdam. Has been Kyobashi's partner for 15 years. Was reassigned to Neo-Francisco along with Kyobashi on the major case brewing there. His location and status is further unknown.

--Prof. Jeff Statham - 36 - Professor at Ellen's college teaching Engineering.

--Prof. Andrea Carson - 35 - Professor at Ellen's college teaching Computer Science.

--Rex Tanner - 36 - Owner and manager of Rex's Casino and Hotel, in the Palace District of the Earth's Moon Resort.

--Thomas H. Tanner - 66 - Father of Rex Tanner. Retired from the casino and hotel business. Lives in Neo-Miami's Central Dome, offshore of the beaches of Miami, in his own penthouse.
