Madeline was really able to help out since she had been a good student in the vault. Her medical expertise saved many lives of both Powder Ganger and their unfortunate slaves. The Powder Ganger appreciated Madeline and respected her even more.

Families lived in the vault for some time along with dozens of other families safe and sound away from the immediate atomic fire that fell from the sky and the latent radiation.
