[Dramatis Personae]

Malachi Fitz Robinson - Mal, the stepdad, a well-off, fit resort consultant, 44. His marriage is open, though his stepdaughter doesn't know that.

Ruth Cora Athernought Robinson - Mal's stepdaughter, 21, a gorgeous and apparently innocent college student and massage artist. Possibly the most sheltered of her friends group.

Esther Jessica Athernought Robinson , nee O'Mara - Essie, 46, Mal's wife and Ruth's Mama, a perpetually amused widowed lawyer who delights in permissively indulging her kinky side. Formerly a swinger. Dated Mal in high school, married him six years ago, five years after her first husband, Will Athernought, died of a heart attack.

Joy Perida O'Mara - Essie's stepsister, 43, never married, runs a microbrewery. When she and Essie had their wild phase as teenagers, they fooled around with one another and enjoyed poaching one another's boyfriends. Mal dated her before he dated Essie.

Chloe Dore - Ruth's high school best friend, 21, they now travel in different circles. Chloe is a confident girl with a secret or two.

Amber Lurleen, 21 - Ruth's college friend and former lab partner, made a pass at Mal at Ruth's 21st birthday party.

Kayla Beaumont, 22 - part of Ruth & Amber's lab group last year. Kayla is the most thoughtful of the group, and has hypermastia.

Lily & Sophia Valentino, 23 - athletic non-identical twin sisters, current classmates & new friends of Ruth's. Probably the biggest influence on Ruth's social circle right now. They don't know Amber and Kayla.
