Kigori Islands

The Kigori Islands are a a strip of 8 islands close together that were once populated by nomadic Anu cut off from the main continent through flooding events since time forgotten. However since the advent of Dwarves selling of the first ships, Orc invaders who had commandeered Human ships used them to invade and conquer what was once Anu islands, culling the local nomadic population and establishing tribal settlements all along the islands, abandoning them only once The Great War started to help deflect the invasive humans from their motherland.

The Islands were said to be ripe with life and natural resources, and although it is now owned by the Humans having merging all prior Orc territories into their own, the Anu still consider these Islands cultural heritage sites that still belong to them and their people, causing many conflicts between the Anu and the Humans.

The Anu / Human coastal wars

Although both sides lacked cannons on their ships, many trade routes to and from the Islands were often severed by the Anu in an attempt to pressure the Humans into a trade deal to give up the Kigori Islands, however this hostility and scuffing of the Humans income only caused fights to break out between bordering Anu cities and the now newly populated Orc cities that the humans were colonizing, armies from West and East Anglia were sent to the front lines to anticipate future conflicts as the tensions were rising.

However the Humans in their concession, still fresh from their fight with the Orcs, offered the Anu a half cut of the Islands earnings in order for a cease fire and for free trade to return between the two nations, the Anu whose now only neighbors were the Humans and whose main trading partner were the humans, begrudgingly accepted this deal as to not subject their people to further poverty.

Elder Conference

Every 5 years, the Anu and Darkin representative diplomats meet up in each others capitals, rotating each time the Elder Conference is called. Usually it's just a meetup to discuss in length the findings of scientific research or social policies among their peoples, even though they are now a world apart from one another they were once close neighbors that would rely on one another, despite all that they are not allies as they have little need to label themselves as such. The Humans are often angry that such world events are being held without them, and have voiced their suspicions about the event being two great powers discussing tactics to overthrow the Humans and have asked for more transparency in the future. Despite all that, the Darkin and the Anu have refused to acknowledge the Humans requests much to King Darius's chagrin.
