[Act 2 Notes]

Thanks for following the ambitious little imp's journey this far! It's good to be back writing again after the year gap.

I appreciate everyone's feedback and suggestions so far, and have tried to work the ones I liked into the story as much as was possible. Thanks especially to xgkf for his comment way back in Act 1 that led to Celestina being a thing. As usual, if you have any thoughts, ideas, criticism etc, let me know and you might end up seeing them show up in future chapters (although I only have the space for so many characters in the story!). I love reading all the suggestions, thoughts, and speculation.

Act 2 ended up being one or two "adventures" (roughly 5-6 chapters: prologue, 2-3 chapters in-adventure, epilogue, smut) longer than I originally expected, largely thanks to Celestina getting a starring role. I also tried to keep the same style as act 1, with a mixture of different scenarios (attacking adventurers, defending against adventurers, raiding dungeons, social/intrigue challenges, etc) to keep things fresh. My plan is to keep future acts to the same length or a bit shorter, but who knows what will actually end up happening when I start writing...

I want to raise the stakes a bit in act 3 and explore the idea that was teased in the last daemonic altar upgrade—that claimant crystals can somehow be stolen. I've bucked the trend from acts 1 and 2 and actually mapped out the main plot points I plan to hit throughout the act, but there's plenty of room for me to change my mind as I go. Beyond that, I'm tentatively planning two more acts assuming we get that far, but the ideas for them are still pretty vague at this point. But first, it's about time that the dungeon gets a major makeover now that Azazel has some time on his hands!
