* Primitive Tribal Cityscape *

The city turns out to resemble ancient Sumerian cities in some respects, with mud-brick and tribal decorations. There are no temples, and precious little civic planning, save that one long road, runs from the entrance to the caves and out to the causeway that connects this island to the rest of the continent. You wander among the people speaking to no one but observing much and realize you have a long way to go before you could really call this a "city"...

As you are wandering around you happen upon a small dispute, two men arguing with each other about whether their daughters should be allowed to marry each other's sons. One is a great bull of a man, with broad shoulders and bulging muscles. The other is a much smaller and more slight individual, though clearly someone who works with his hands for a living.

"No, this is not how it is done!" The smaller man hollers: "You will pay the Bride Price for my daughter or there will be no wedding!"

"No!" The big man bellows, "You will give your daughter a dowery to ensure she will not be a burden on her family: THAT is the way things are done here!"

A crowd of onlookers has gathered, including two of your Jaguar Warriors, they seem to be watching the argument as a spectator sport, but as both belligerents tense as though to come to blows someone, (you're not quite sure who,) pipes up: "Look who we have in our midst! Lord Personal Family, surely YOU can settle this argument decisively?"
