* Line 'Em Up, And Knock 'Em Down. (Part:2) *

You hear about the case of the worker's dog that bit another man.

"So, you say the dog bit you, and we can see the bite mark so that is not in question," You begin. "YOU say that he was antagonizing the dog by poking it with a stick, can you call anyone to confirm that?" You ask.

"Yes!" The worker says and gestures forward five men from his work crew.

One by one each of them confirms what he has said, the other man was poking his dog with a stick.

"WHY were you poking the dog with a stick?" You ask the man that was bitten and he explains.

"That dog was born from my mother's dog two years ago. All our dogs are trained to a few basic commands before they are sold, but I discovered that somehow we had overlooked teaching this one to fetch. It is a matter of family honor that the dogs be properly trained, if they cannot be they must be culled!" He explains.

"So you were trying to teach it to fetch, is that it?" You ask.

"Yes, I was trying to finish it's training so that we would not have to cull it. However, if a dog bites a human it must be culled at once, they are a danger to everyone around them otherwise," he explains further.

"I don't WANT it to know how to fetch!" The worker exclaims. "If it is taught how to fetch it will run away and hurt itself! It is trained to detect the approach of wild animals like jaguar and wolves! I need it to stay close to me not go running off after sticks!"

Well, seems the facts of the case are no longer an issue: the question is, who is culpable for the bite and does the dog need to be put down?
