***The Mystery of Nosy Nectar Update***

Note: This is merely a repeat of the update off the main story page for people who only check their bookmark of the final chapter of Winter Holiday.

Okay, as today is the one-year anniversary of Winter Holiday finishing, I wanted to provide the next update about its sequel. This is a semi-positive update. I'm going to start writing The Mystery of Nosy Nectar. I say semi as I'm only going to write one day a week for the near future. This is partly because I can't justify using any more free time than that for the story, and I'm still not really in the mood to return to Honey Hollow. Yet, it's now or never to return.

With that said, it will take a couple of months for me to bank enough reserve chapters until I feel safe to start posting. I'm hopeful that it will be possible around the winter holidays later this year, which I guess would be fitting based on the previous story. However, I can't guarantee that, as writing has been stressful and depressing this year. This is primarily based on the lack of readership, support, or outright hostility to my other series.

I guess I'd better address what I mean. I know my last update back in May wasn't the most positive or promising about HH. However, what pissed me off was the reaction of a group of readers or a few readers. I can't say for sure how many people did this or how many accounts they used. But after my last update, the negative voting for The Case of the Phantom Diver over on Literotica began the next day. Whomever was behind this effort went through every chapter that had been posted by then and gave it 1 out of 5. They then stuck around, doing the same the morning each following chapter was posted. The timing can't be coincidental. Nor can the drive to keep coming back to add more low votes. Most people who don't like a story that much will just stop reading it. This even continued over to the first few chapters of The Case of the Becoming Boyfriend that were posted. At least for the latter, the negative scores disappeared about a week later, so maybe Literotica cracked down on multiple accounts.

Either way, this behavior is petty and juvenile. Attempting to ruin my other series is plain stupid. It's not going to make me abandon it and rush back to HH. If anything, it only demoralizes me and jeopardizes the next Honey Hollow story from being written. Honestly, if that hadn't happened and The Snooping Brats had more readers or supporters, then I would've been in a better mood for writing and started the HH sequel already.

If you're bored and waiting for more of my work, then I'd appreciate trying out one of the newer stories. Just read the ones available on the free sites if you want. If you say you don't like mysteries of this sort, then there might be issues in the future, as The Mystery of Nosy Nectar will have a very similar tone and type of plot.

The first novel, The Case of the Phantom Diver, and a follow-up short story, The Case of the Becoming Boyfriend, are both now available here for the time being. They should both be on Literotica, but that site seems to be having issues with delayed or lost submissions. I've been attempting for almost a month to get the short story's 4th chapter posted there. Hopefully, they get the issues fixed soon.

Available on Patreon right now are the second and third Snooping Brats novels: The Crystal Charmer's Secret and The Rummage **** Affair. Additionally, a short story set in Edgewater is up, and a novella is currently being posted. This novella is also set in the greater TSB universe and features a new team of mystery-solvers. The Key Club might look slightly familiar, as they are the replacement team for Sean's HH team in the aborted Young Sleuths Challenge in Crossroads. The Costume Party Caper is a Halloween-themed mystery. The people behind the YSC competition and several of the helpers from that story will transfer over to this universe. Some have already been mentioned. I plan to introduce several groups with different makeups and different types of criminals/cases and have them appear in a YSC story in the future. Once this novella finishes before the end of the month, Jake and Phinn will return in a LARPing adventure called The Viking Vixen Quest, which carries over some ideas I once had for a possible HH idea.

As for now, I'm still posting chapters on Literotica and Choya. Hopefully, Literotica will catch back up on the short story, but I'll also begin posting the second novel slowly on here soon.
