(Subplot) The Mansions New Pet

"Miaooow!" Laura purred as Jeeves opened the door to allow her to reenter the mansion, since she wasn't currently in a position to operate door handles herself.

"We're going to need a Laura sized cat flap for this place" Lucy noted.

Most of the glitches were too preoccupied with watching the big screen to find out what was going to happen next in the competition to worry about Laura's predicament, especially the members of Team Queen and Team Cute who were all now precariously close to landing in the dolls house. However, the rest of Team Gorgeous came running over in support of their feline friend.

"Thank you so much for saving us from getting shrunk!" Maggie gave Laura's back an affectionate stroke "Hopefully this isn't for too long"

"Oh Laura, what have you done to yourself this time?" Liv sighed as her partner nuzzled her head against her thigh "Did they say they could leave her like this for the full six months?"

"Yes, but I don't think for a minute they would actually do that" Noelle answered reassuringly "It would be bad for their precious ratings. Laura is one of the biggest characters in here, and she is popular with the viewers. I can see them making her suffer like this for a while though, and maybe making her do some quite embarrassing stuff since she is now officially the Mansion Pet"

"You are talking like being a pet cat is some kind of terrible ordeal. I spent years as one and it really wasn't that bad, you get quite pampered most of the time" Amanda pointed out.

"Well I will certainly be making sure this one is pampered non stop, that's for sure!" Liv crouched down so she was level with Laura and kissed her passionately.

"We might suck in the competitions for a while" Maggie realised "I guess the other four of us will have to pull together and step up our game as we are essentially a person down. But we'll get through this as a team. And at least, thanks to Laura, we won't be living in a dolls house. We've even got a treat coming, whatever that turns out to be."

Five glitches would though, and judging by the pained shouts coming from near the big screen, it was now known which five it would be.

"Oh for fucks sake!" Sophie cried out "I can't handle living in that bloody dolls house again!"

"At least I'll be with you this time" Abi rested a hand on her wife's shoulder to comfort her "And at least you won't have to put up with Rebecca"
