(Subplot) Private Conversations

"I'm not saying I dislike or even distrust Tania" Cassie insisted to her wife "I just don't fully trust her either yet. I'll be keeping a close eye on her is all"

The red haired beauty was straddling Barbie who, even now, had Lexie resting on her boob. Did this technically count as a threesome?

"For what it's worth, I think she's on the level" Barbie responded "You know how the Director is and how he drags people into doing his dirty work for him. Her story seemed incredibly plausible"

"And also a little convenient" Cassie added "We know now we were all on camera. And as soon as we started voicing our suspicions she suddenly changed her story and now she is living here full time rather than just popping in"

"So you think she is still working for the Director even after being caught? And was willing to go permanude to do it?"

"No" Cassie relented "I mean, probably not. I'm just saying we need to be a little careful what we say in front of her, for now at least."

Lexie ribbited in support of Cassie. She would have gone further than that if she still had the ability to speak.

"What about James? You trust him?" Barbie wanted to know.

"I do" Cassie nodded "I mean, him and Mel go back way before this even started and I've never seen her vouch so hard for someone"

"I know, right? Him being here was "non-negotiable" for her? It's like those two love each other or something"

Lexie, who had moved from Barbie;s breast to her perfectly toned stomach, began croaking animatedly.

"I didn't mean like that Lex!" Barbie backtracked "I meant they are obviously very close friends"

Up above the frog's field of vision Barbie shot her wife a look that suggested she did suspect there were feelings between Melanie and the male glitch that were more than platonic.

"So, our friend the witch seems to have gone a little quiet. It's almost like she's forgotten about us" Barbie decided it would be a good idea to change the subject.

"Yeah. I think I've been guilty of just enjoying the break from her" Cassie admitted "But this isn't a truce. Mel is still stuck in the app, Lex is still a frog and we have no idea where or even what Sophie is. We can't just hang out here and wait for Rebecca to strike again. If she isn't going to make the next move, maybe we need to!"

This was exactly the kind of conversation Tania had been waiting for. It was time for that invisibility serum to really start paying off.
