(Subplot) Mel’s Worst Day

The four others of team Hero entered their suite and saw Mel was not in the bedroom. The sound of the running water led them to find her hiding in the bathtub as the shower pelted her with lukewarm water. “I think I’m actually going to die this time…”

“Mel, you did what you had to do to win…” Lucy said in attempts to cheer her up. “There is no way that was the most embarrassing thing you have ever done…” Nothing Lucy was saying was making her feel less shame. “Well just know that we are super grateful that you helped us avoid the doll house punishment…”

“Alright let’s just leave her be, babe…” Leilani said as she pulled Lucy away from Mel’s side.

“You did fantastic babe…” James said with a hand on her shoulder.

“Look it’s even more shameful since I got off to you getting head from Toadsworth!” Mel practically yelled and let out a heavy sigh. “I’m trying not to take your sexual interactions personally but seeing you get off like that really isn’t helping me right now…I just want to be left alone! Please…” James got up and realized he had his own blame in Mel’s shame as she was admitting to have been sexually turned on that another woman was sucking him off. He too left the room with only Jazmin staying behind. She stood against the wall with her arms crossed and staring at their broken leader.

“Mind if I join you?” Jazmin asked. “I kinda got super soaked by you.”

Mel’s tone shifted as she said, “Jazz…I’m so sorry that happened. I’ve never once done that it in my life! I don’t think I’ll ever live that down and I’m half expecting them to add water features to my gold statue after having done that on the tele…”

“Melanie…you are clearly in the right to feel this way. I was dying of embarrassment to be on stage with thousands of people looking at me live and not to mention the millions watching. I’m expecting a rough conversation with my mother before today is over. I can’t believe you have done that for as long as you have,” Jazmin said as she got behind Mel and began to massage her shoulders.

“You looked like you had been doing it longer than me and almost reminded me of Barbie, who is the only woman that seemed even more confident without her clothes,” Mel said as she began to relax thanks to the Jazmin’s magical hands.

“Oh girl I can promise that I was about to run off the stage with you,” Jazmin said with a chuckle. “It’s nice just to relax in the bath like this. Feel free just to lay your head back into mine and relax for now!”

“I’ll happily take advantage of those soft pillows on your chest then!” Mel chuckled as she laid into Jazmin. “It’s funny but I’ve only known you for such a short amount of time. But I swear that you get me more than anyone here, Jazz…”
