(Subplot) Lily's Lazy Life

Lexie squatted in her now usual resting spot in the centre of April's mantelpiece. pride and place between two photos of her owner's now adult daughters, and tried to keep her mind active. Lexie, or Lily as April had renamed her, could see exactly where she was situated as she was directly facing a mirror, lest she forget, even for one moment, that she was currently trapped in the form of a stone frog ornament.

Tania had assured Lexie that the spells she was under would wear off eventually, but it was starting to feel like forever since Rebecca had first zapped her at that fateful meeting. The boredom was killing her by this point. She found herself actually getting jealous of the flies that occasionally buzzed about April's living room. At least they could move. She was just rooted to the same spot constantly, unless April decided to move her.

Worse still was not knowing what was happening to Mel, Barbie and the others and not being able to do anything to help them. She had always considered herself the toughest of the glitches and the one least likely to back down in a fight, though admittedly that attitude had been partly responsible for getting her into this position in the first place. She just wished she didn't have to spend this entire battle as a decorative frog statue in a stranger's front room. Not that April really felt like a stranger anymore.

"Well, hello Lily! look at you, lazing around without a care in the world while the rest of us are out toiling away!" April smiled as she returned to her home and addressed her favourite frog. Lexie felt a little sad for her "owner". She had determined that her husband had passed away several years ago and April seemed quite lonely now that her kids had grown up and moved out. Apart from that imbecile Chelsea in the shop, her little frog Lily seemed to be about the only company she had.

"I had the strangest day at work, you wouldn't believe it. A big group of beautiful naked women all came into the shop at once. I thought I was being pranked!"

Well, that got Lexie'a attention! She had so many questions she wanted to blurt out but, of course, remained silent.

"Apparently that naked Lucy girl Chelsea is such a fan of is filming near here, and I guess the other girls were her co-stars. They were all very lovely. Lucy even invited Chelsea to visit the mansion they are currently filming at. She was so excited! I wonder if she will have to get naked for them to let her in? She was a little disappointed that one of her favourites didn't show up though. Melinda was it? Or Melanie? Perhaps she can meet her at the mansion"

That was not what Lexie wanted to hear. It likely meant Mel was either still in the app or perhaps she had been transformed too. Lexie wished she knew, She wished even more that there was something she could do!

"There was a very nice American girl I was talking too, a volleyball champion I think. She came in with her pet frog, Lexie. She bought that lily pad you used to sit on when you were in the shop. It's a good job I had already snagged you, or she probably would have bought you too! Perhaps you could have been a friend for little Lexie?"

Now the real Lexie was confused. How the fuck did Barbie still have a pet frog named Lexie? Had that cunt Tania replaced her with a real frog from the mansion gardens to cover her tracks? If so, Lexie was a little hurt her best friend couldn't tell the difference. It also meant nobody would know she was missing and come looking for her. Lexie sighed silently to herself. It looked like she may be sitting on April's mantelpiece for a good while yet.

"You know what Lily? They said their new show was starting this evening. I can't say it's my usual type of programme but how often do I meet any TV stars? Let alone a whole group of them. Plus, Lucy gave Chelsea and I codes for a free all access passes. People usually pay a lot of money for those I'd imagine! I'll put it up on the big TV. You can see from there can't you, my precious little frog?"

Finally, it seemed like there might be an end in sight to Lexie's boredom. Though she was slightly fearful she might not like everything she saw.
