(Subplot) Lady Toadsworth and Lexie

"Holy fuck, this is your place!" Lexie was in shock as she and Tania walked through the gates of Tania's home "Get a load of Lady Toadsworth over here!"

The only American glitches to stay local in the time between the two seasons were Lexie and Nari, since they had both fallen into relationships with people from the area, which happened to be one of the richest towns in the UK. Cheleea's family weren't particularly wealthy, but Tania's place was nearly as impressive as the mansion itself.

"It's obviously not mine, it's my parents, but they are never here" Tania explained "I could never hope to afford a place like this. That's probably why I've always been such a crushing disappointment to them"

Lexie had noticed Tania behaving very differently around her when it was just the two of them now, more like her real self, she guessed. She had always suspected the sassy bitch act was just a defensive front. She had behaved in a similar way herself in the past.

"I think that's why I got so carried away with the whole magic powers thing" Tania continued "It felt like a shortcut to success. I think it might have been the only way I could have ever outdone my parents"

"I don't get it Tania, you are talking like you are a failure" Lexie was genuinely perplexed "You are only twenty two, you are smart, beautiful, and already a millionaire in your own right"

"I don't think you understand the expectations that have always been placed on me" Tania sighed "I'm nothing like the other British glitches. I'm more of a throwback to a different era. I was sent to one of the best boarding schools In England.."

"Boarding school? What so you lived at your school?"

"From the age of seven" Tania nodded "I did well enough there, got into a good university but in the end I just thought fuck it. I decided my life was being laid out for me by other people and I wanted to take my own path instead. My parents have never forgiven me. With the connections my family have I think they expected me to become the fucking Prime Minister or something. So earning millions parading around naked on TV is not going to win me their approval"

"Then fuck them!" Lexie spat.

"I think that might be why I gravitated towards you so much. Most people don't understand me, but you seem like someone who rebelled against expectations too" she then smiled at Lexie in a way that seemed at once more warm, **** and genuine than she had ever seen from her before "And you're not bad looking either"

Until now, Lexie had mostly been with Tania for the amazing physical chemistry they shared, but now she was starting to feel something deeper. She walked over, placed her hands on Tania's shoulders and looked deep into her eyes.

"Fuck anyone who could be disappointed in you, you're one of the most impressive people I have ever met, Tania Petras!"

"You didn't call me Toadsworth" Tania smiled.

"Oh don't worry" Lexie grinned "That hasn't heard the last of that!"
