(Subplot) Easy, Tiger!

The glitches who were assembled in the main lounger area, where they often hung around together during the day, fell into a collective silence as Noelle and Maggie joined them. It wasn't the witch that was causing a stir, but the tiger girl standing next to her. Maggie was still quite recognisable, but now had gold and black fur all over her body, a tail, cat ears, whiskers, and paws.

"Was that from one of Rebecca's potions?" Liv asked "Seems like a weird curse for her to want to put on one of us"

"No this was after the potion testing session actually" Noelle answered a little coyly and with a half smile "We were having a little, um, fun together..."

Anna and Liv shared a look. It seemed the mansion rumours about the witch and the redhead were pretty accurate. Laura, meanwhile, couldn't seem to take her eyes of Maggie.

"I had very little say in this" the temporary tigress added "And now she is claiming to be out of charge until midnight, so I have to stay like this for the rest of the day"

"It's true! I've been using a lot more magic than I usually do since I arrived here!" Noelle countered, only half convincingly.

"Sophie is going to be disappointed, getting home and having to stay the size of an action figure for another day" Julianne realised

"No, that's okay, Melanie will be doing Sophie's reversal" Noelle reassured her.

"What, me?" Mel suddenly took an interest in the conversation "You want me to use magic on Soph?"

"Sophie is literally the perfect demonstration model for a beginner. I've rarely seen anyone so highly susceptible to magic" the witch replied.

"Yes, but she's not a demonstration model is she? She's my best friend!"

"Then she should be happy to help you in your magical studies"

"Ugh, I really don't like this" Mel frowned.

Meanwhile Laura had sidled up to Maggie a little nervously. She was actually blushing slightly.

"Um, Mags. I have really been meaning to catch up with you for a while. You an I should hang out together for the rest of the day. Like, just the two of us"

"Oh, okay. sounds fun!" Maggie smiled amiably with a swish of her tail.

"Actually, tell you what, fun idea, roommate swap for the night! You can stay with me and Anna and Liv can get to know Noelle better over in her room, maybe help her with the potion testing once her powers recharge!"

"Woah, hold on a minute. I am not spending the night testing Rebecca's curse potions because you have some kind of catgirl fetish!" Anna complained.

"No actually, it's a great idea!" Noelle placed one hand on Anna's shoulder and the other on Liv's as if claiming them "I could use a couple of mid-rangers for the night to get a better idea of how strong these potions are. Practically anything works on Maggie"

"Then it's settled" Laura clapped before taking Maggie by the hand "You haven't seen our room have you? You'll love the bed, it's massive!"

"I really hate Laura sometimes" Anna sighed to herself.
