(Magic Rules for Argonaut School of Wizardry)
- Remember that this is not Harry Potter or any other story about magic. DO NOT bring in elements from Harry Potter or from any other story.
- There are no muggles. Anyone can use magic. How talented a person is at magic varies greatly with some people easily able to perform powerful magic while others struggle to perform minor spells. Magic is not typically taught to underage people.
- All magic is done by incantation. However, incantations can be used on objects or substances in order to transform them into magic amulets or magic potions. Nothing can be magic unless an incantation was used on it at some time.
- Similarly, there are no magic creatures. Incantations may be used to transform into something similar to a magic creature but it will only be a similarity, not actually a magic creature.
- Each spell requires more than just an incantation. Mana, magic energy, is similar to the Star Wars **** in that mana is everywhere and to perform magic, a person must both say an incantation and channel mana. (There is no **** in this universe. I was only using the **** as a comparison.) If one casually says an incantation but fails to channel mana, no magic happens. If someone channels mana but fails to say an incantation, no magic happens. Unchanneled mana does nothing.
- One may store up mana but there is almost no reason to do so because even if one stores up a ton of mana, if one does not know how to channel it correctly, none of that magic will do anything.
- Although I will not list all the magic spells possible, there is a limit to the number of known magic spells. Each spell is its own skill and one must know that spell specifically to be able to cast it. Therefore, no one can do just any spell they want. Each person can only perform the skills that person has learned.
I do not know of any reason someone would have for adding chapters here.
