Chapter 23
by The Marksman
What do you do, Adam? What do you do?
(Don't do it) Well behaved women, rarely make history
Cindi clung to her cousin as they sped through the asteroid belt, completely untethered to any ship, only tiny suit thrusters for course correction and the breaking maneuver that had looked much more realistic on paper, than it felt in person. Cindi wished they'd brought even one more suit of power armor; it clung to Sam like a second skin, sure every curve was emphasized, every crevice on display, but compared to Cindi in her several sizes too big, garbage bag of a space suit, it seemed heavenly. She tried to quiet her chattering teeth. 'We will get Adam back'. Eyes closed against the sight of speeding micrometeorites and near misses from rocks the size of houses, it became her mantra. We will get Adam back. She felt a ping off her suit and waited for the inevitable explosive decompression.
"The suits are made for this kind of stuff, Cindi." Sam drawled, her eyes weren't closed at all. She looked calm but somehow also dangerous, like a sharpened blade ready to strike. "Not that I mind, but we're harnessed together, you don't have to wrap your legs around me either." Sam tugged at the D-clips connecting them at the waist.
Cindi blushed like fire and slowly unwrapped her legs from around the other woman. "The torpedo is set for two more minutes. We got this right?"
"Put a bow on it, we're all wrapped up." Sam replied. "Let's power down and wait for the fireworks."
Sam's armor lights turned off, Cindi followed suit in her garbage bag of a suit. Then they waited. 30 seconds went by. Two minutes. Three. Five. Nothing happened. They turned their electronics back on.
"What happened?" Cindi asked.
"I dunno." Sam answered, she sounded tense now. Wary. They could see the base, hurtling closer every second. A dark, squat structure nestled into a crater, no external lights, even on the landing pad. Easy to miss.
Had the torpedo malfunctioned? Or been detected? The former would be disastrous, the latter catastrophic. It didn't matter either way, they were already moving faster than the Invader, which was slowing even further behind them. If they didn't stop, they'd be adrift in space.
Sam agreed and on they floated. Breaking hard near the surface, but they were still moving fast. Too fast. Cindi let one arm stray to close to the rock and caught an unlucky edge, and they tumbled, end over end, in a nauseating somersault. Cindi fought to keep from vomiting in the suit, her body on the verge of blacking out. Sam was shouting something in her ear, but all Cindi could hear was ringing. Then a horrific clang, and suddenly Sam was wrenching her arm and heaving them to a halt. They had made it to the landing platform.
"Find the torpedo!" Sam called over, panting through the comm. Cindi flicked her pad on through the suit interface, bringing up the expected trajectory, if should have passed just overtop the base before reactivating. Instead if was just gone. She looked around. A thousand explanations could suit, but they didn't have time. The Invader was coming and it couldn't wait.
"It's gone!" Cindi cried. "I'm still going in, are you with me?"
Sam stared at her, this idea had already been a longshot, and they'd agreed if it went wrong they'd abort while they still had a chance.
"To the bitter end." She said, and she meant it, Cindi saw. Stupid, impossible hope fluttered in her belly.
"I can get us inside. I just know it." Cindi said. We will get Adam back.
A way inside had turned out to be crawling through the waste disposal system. On the outside of the airlock it hadn't been so bad. Just a few cubes of freeze dried refuse, but once they'd gotten inside the compaction chamber and took their helmets off they were assaulted by the stench of hot, rotting garbage and human waste. Cindi took the opportunity to hurl into the ankle deep scum. Sam's face turned green before they made it safely away from the noxious fumes.
"Okay. So we're here." Cindi had set her pad to holographic projection mode once they reached deserted alcove that lead into the maintenance ducts. Cindi's suit wouldn't fit inside, she wasn't going to shed any tears about leaving it behind either. Clumsy oversized garbage bag, and now it positively reeked! The white jumpsuit she had underneath was far more comfortable. "Near this end of the base. Adam is on the far end."
"Can you still kill the lights and lock things down?" Sam asked as she studied the map with an appraising eye.
"Not from here. I have local control, turn lights on and off, that sort of thing, but if I try anything tough they'll boot me out of the network. I'd need to be at a main juncture, like a command center or right on top of the mainframe."
"Is this the mainframe?" Sam pointed to an area off to the side, nearly halfway between them and Adam.
"That's it." Cindi confirmed.
Sam looked her dead in the eye, she had her game face on. God, she looked strong. Cindi wanted her face to look like that. Her hands were already shaking. "I need you to go there and link in, give me tech support while I break Adam out. We'll rendezvous on the way back."
"You want me to go there on my own? Without you?" Cindi couldn't keep the fear out of voice.
"You can do this." Sam said, and she looked like she meant it. "You're a jarhead now. You fought a monster in a secret underground lab. You took out a highly trained commando on Thiidian. You even went EVA. That's a hell of a service jacket and it's only your first week. Nothing else is going to go wrong, but if it does, call me, take the serum and get out."
"We will get Adam back." Cindi thought out loud.
"Damn straight." Sam put a hand on her shoulder. She paused, before she spoke again. "What's it feel like anyway? That stuff."
"You ever do Xiz?"
Sam eyes widened in horror. Straight edge people were so easy to tease.
“Me neither.” Cindi grinned back at her. “Its probably about the same. You feel strong, angry, fast. It doesn't last long though."
Sam stroked the pouch containing the vial thoughtfully. She turned to go, but Cindi grabbed her arm.
“I'm sorry about what I said before. About people always choosing me.” Cindi said. “Sisters not misters, right?”
Sam smiled. “Chicks before dicks.”
“Uggggh. It's a really nice dick though. Maybe we could just bring that back?”
They both laughed at that. The adrenaline making them giddy.
Sam leaned down and planted a kiss on her forehead, just like when they were kids. "Not brave, huh."
"You really rubbed off on me." Cindi replied. "Should I go first?"
"Nah, let me lead. You can follow my pretty butt all the way up." And with that Sam started climbing, hips popping side to side as she went. Cindi had to admit, the woman had a very nearly perfect peach for an ass. Not that, Cindi really looked of course. It was just hard to miss. They climbed for a whole level and crawled through meter after meter of maintenance tunnels before they came to an intersection, Sam went one way, Cindi had to go the other. She was on her own again.
Heart hammering all of a sudden, Cindi checked to make sure she still had her trusty laspistol, then made her way to the mainframe. Her overactive mind raced, certain each step would be her last. A hail of gunfire, booby traps or even just getting trapped and starving to ****; she was still plotting her certain doom when she tumbled into a room freezing, sterile white room. She made it. Big iron was standing in the center waiting for her.
Cindi rushed up and linked her pad. She was in seconds later. This place had negligible security; passwords were for basic bitches. Sam was right, she could do this. Hell, she didn't even need the vial. Knowledge was her weapon. She could vent atmosphere from rooms, close doors on unsuspecting victims, shut off the heat exchanges and roast them alive; so many ways to die on a space station. One thing was for sure, they didn't deserve her mercy. She'd seen what these people did on Thiidian, **** was too good for them.
Cindi pulled the vial of dark liquid out of her pouch and stared at it. So basic.
"You in position?" Sam hissed in her ear.
Started, Cindi's hand twitched, and despite her frantic grasping she could only watch as the serum tumbled from her grip to shatter against the floor. Oh God.
"Hey. I'm ready to roll. But there's bad guys crawling all over the place here. I spotted at least two of the commandos, that leaves two unaccounted for."
Cindi started to panic. Sam was lying. Everything was going wrong. She was going to die. What was she even doing here? She was just a college student for Christ's sake? For Adam, that little voice inside her said. We're here for Adam. Only she couldn't save Adam if she was dead or 'harvested'. She looked at her watch, The Invader would be passing them any second, even with the trailing wire, that only gave them minutes to catch it or be left behind! Oh god oh god oh god!
"Sam we have to-
Sam cut her off. "I'm staying Cindi. And I'm going to roll in five seconds. If you can help me, I could really use it, little sister."
Sam peeked around the corner again, she counted at least a dozen people in the hall between her and Adam. Most of them armed, all of them had pouches full of serum. She needed to take them out fast, before they could dose up. Only, Sam had brought a slug thrower as her primary; less chance to blow a hole in the wall and turn a SAR into Debellatio. Unfortunately, that same cautious caliber, was going to make armor tougher to beat. Closest to her was a huge man in full power armor. Unlike Sam, he'd been smart enough to keep his helmet on. She'd have stab him center mass.
If Cindi came through for her- When Cindi came through for her, she'd have crowd control. Time to smash. Sam pulled the vial out of her side pouch and drove the plunger into her neck, twisted and felt the warmth, then burning sensation ripple through her body. She felt hot, strong and angry.
Sam ripped around the corner and snapped off a pair of bursts as she ran. Two down. Keep the groupings tight, Sam. Four-three-two-one leap; she sailed through the air to slam into the giant's back and thrust. Her electroblade had been pushed aside by the spinal armor, but it still plunged deep into his kidney. He made that sound, that strangled gasp people make when three decimeters of metal enter your body. Sam's lips curled into a smile. Payback felt good. She grabbed his arm pouch and crushed the vials inside as he dropped to his knees. 'No magic juice for you'.
Sam crouched behind her human shield, bullets and lasbeams whizzing by or straight up pinging off the giant's armor. She popped under his armpit and fired another burst, eight baddies left. The ones near the back stopped firing and started reaching for their arm pouches. Not good. The two other soldiers in power armor were already up and charging. Sam tried to wrench the blade free of the downed giant, who moaned in agony, but it held fast, stuck on some chunk of armor or bone. The other two bad guys in power armor were halfway to her. Fuck.
"Cindi, I want the gravity off in this hall." Sam said. The giant rumbled and tried to rise, Sam managed to kick the blade in deeper and he slumped in defeat. She popped off another shot, seven left, big guys right on top of her. "Cindi! Gravity off now!"
Cindi didn't answer. Sam vaulted over the top the bleeding giant and spun into a wheel kick. She connected with the lead guard's head and he dropped. The second guard tackled her so hard it nearly folded her in half. Oddly, she didn't even feel the pain. His tackle carried them both to the floor; and they wrestled as they slid deeper down the hall. Sam kicked off at the corner, pushing them out of the line of fire; she was the idiot who hadn't worn a helmet after all. The man pummeled her from above, the whole time, it was all she could do to block her head.
The other guard tried grabbed her shielding arms and pulled. Only they didn't move an inch. She was stronger than him, she realized. Sam pushed back and rolled, pined him to the floor with her knees, and smashed his pouch with a fist. Instead of a wet crunch there was only the tinkle of breaking glass. All the vials were empty. "Did somebody take all their medicine early?"
She ended their conversation with a hammer blow to his armored head. Her watch chimed urgently, she didn't have time for this. Sam dashed into the action, scooping up her rifle as she went, dropping the remaining soldiers without breaking stride. This stuff was good. Too good. She could already feel its addictive lure. The strength it offered. The freedom from pain. It was intoxicating.
That last guard was a junkie. No, they all were. He just had less control. If Sam he didn't want to end up like them, she couldn't fall in love with how it made her feel. The antiviral syrette in her belt pouch called to her. First she had to get Adam.
Sam burst into the holding chamber. It was stark white with a glass cage- just like the one on Thiidian -that dominated the room. There was a dead, one-armed blonde girl lying in a pool of blood just in front of it. The scientists and lab techs just stepped over the body like it was stepstool. The callousness took her breath away. **** was too good for these people and her trigger finger was feeling real itchy. They deserved it. No. She wasn't here for slaughter. Sam fought down the urge. Instead she fired a burst into the ceiling.
"Open the cage now!" She commanded. Sam felt, rather than saw the punch coming. She ducked and rolled, taking a glancing hit to her back instead of a knock out punch. She glanced back at her new friend. It was one of those Crisis freaks. She recognized the dark scaly armor, only he'd taken his helmet off, so she could see the white, hairless flesh underneath. How had she missed him when she swept the room?
Well she saw him now. He had a nasty, powerdrunk smile on his face. In his hand was a piece of Sam's suit. Fucker tore it right out of her. She took a step forward, and nearly fell, her armor weaving drunkenly. Double fuck, he tore out a gyroscope. Smiley dropped the gryo and pulled a laspistol in a flash. Sam dove for cover, energy beams heating up her legs as she went. Crouching behind a nearby column, she ignored the screams of terror from the lab staff and quieted her mind. It had to be a headshot.
Sam popped around the corner, rifle tight to her shoulder-
Only to get punched in the face. He'd anticipated her. She reeled back against a combo, but he didn't go for her body. He grabbed her rifle. The metal shrieked and twisted in his hands, as useless as the armor now weighing her down. Make that triple fuck. Retreat gone, time to attack. Sam launched forward into a tackle, but he braced and threw her over a shoulder. Sam twisted and skidded across the room, but no lasfire cut her up as she expected. Instead, Smiley just watched her scramble to her feet. He was playing with her.
Sam dodged to the side, as fast as she could with twice her normal weight jiggling off her, then grabbed a instrument try and flung it at him. Smiley causally step aside and shot her full in the chest. The armor steamed around her and burned a patch of skin, but Sam still couldn't feel it. She had to reach him. She just had to. Sam ripped a table off the ground and used it as a shield as she charged, only the trip over her own feet and skid to the floor. Smiley lazily shot her in the back. Sam rolled clear and ended up in a small alcove with some scientists who looked simply terrified at the sight of her. Sam hated them she realized. Hated that they could be so divorced from the **** their actions wrought. Thiidian, the Typhons, and now getting people hooked on **** juice, it was all their fault. They deserved worse than a little fear and discomfort. Sam glared at them. Maybe one of them would make a good shield?
No.
That wasn't who she was. This stuff was poison, her mother was right. It rotted people. She didn't need it to beat so asshole with a gun. Sam thumbed the emergency release on her useless armor. It dropped away in shreds, all except for the reinforced gloves. Those she kept on. Dangerous. But she was light and fast now.
Sam sprang off out of her hiding spot and sprinted as fast as she could at Smiley. The first lasbeam went wide by centimeters. The next she caught on her left glove. She actually smelled the flesh burning, but the metal held and it felt so good to see Smiley's eyes widen in fear right before she drove her burning fist into his head. She followed the punch with a hug and a headbutt and down they went. They wrestled for the gun. Without her armor, Sam wasn't as strong as him, she had to be quick. She smashed the gun against the ground; once-twice-done.. Then released her grip and rolled them so she was straddling Smiley on his back. He aimed the gun at her head, blood streaming down his face from her punch; he was done playing now. He pulled the trigger. Click. Nothing.
"Rock beats scissors, assholes." Sam snarled. His eyes widened, but she was already pummeling him. He wasn't smiling now. Actually, he didn't have any teeth by the time Sam finished. She dropped her ruined, bloody gloves and picked up the broken laspistol.
Sam turned back to the shocked faces around her. They'd been too surprised to run before. Now they were too scared. Sam leveled her rifle at the nearest white coat. "Open the cage."
"I can't." The woman said. Sam looked down at Adam. Her cousin was curled into a ball in the corner, head wrapped in his hands, a dead white mass at his feet. He was so far gone, he didn't even know Sam was there. She felt herself grow cold. She turned back to the lady, a doctor judging by her ID badge. Sam pressed the hot barrel against the woman's cheek. It hissed with burning flesh. The woman nearly fainted on the spot.
"Anybody else want to tell me they can't open the cage?"
They were much more cooperative after that. The glass unsealing and yawning open. Sam nodded at the door, "Get out." They ran too after that.
Sam reached down to cradle Adam, moving slowly despite the frantic alerts from her watch. They were out of time. Sam touched him gently, not worried a bit about her own safety, she was terrified she'd only hurt him in his fragile state. Adam looked up at her. His disbelief shifting to a rather frightening look of hope that made Sam wish she'd been less merciful with the staff.
"You're here." Adam said. His hands shook as he reached up to cup her face. He flinched when they made contact, tears running down his face. This wasn't the reunion she'd imagined. Sam squelched that awful impulse and pulled him gently to his feet.
"Cindi-
"She's back near the exfil. She'll meet us on the way." Sam explained.
"She's alive?" Adam asked, for some reason his eyes flicked to the dead girl for a moment.
"Yeah, but have to go, or we'll miss our ride." Sam pulled him forward as alarms began to wail around them. "You mission ready?"
She certainly wasn't, she already felt the chemical joy fading from her veins. She felt slow, tired. The more she tried to hold on to her beast mode, the quicker it slipped through her fingers. and now they had to fight their way out of here.
Something hardened behind those glowing blue eyes. Something angry. "Let's fucking kill people."
There were more guards in the hall. At least another dozen, more coming, Sam bet. At least only a handful had power armor. It was still going to be a slaughter. Two unarmored people against a base full of guards, most of whom were had only paused to shove a dose of serum in their veins. A voice came in over the intercom. It sounded almost kindly, like someone's favorite Grandpa, but Adam cringed when he heard it speak.
"Subject Alpha-09 has breached containment. Secure him via nonlethal means only. The woman is of no consequence. Take her alive if possible, she may be a harvest candidate."
Sam didn't like the sound of that. Adam stepped in front of her. Sam didn't like that either, but they weren't going to shoot him. "We have to get past them, Adam."
"Stay behind me." Adam replied. Fear was biting into her now that the **** wore off, the pain was slowing her down. Adam sprinted forward, Sam trotting in his shadow. The guards opened fire. Adam staggering as stunners connected with his chest, he was barely on his feet when he plowed into massed men like a bowling ball. Sam darted into the fray, hands itching for a loose weapon, preferably something lethal. Adam knocked a armored guard into Sam and she pulled his electroknife free. Plunging it into the guard's chest, she ducked under his dying grasp.
Adam had his arms locked behind his back by two guards in power armor. A third, a 'Captain' going by the bars on his arm, was pummeling him with body blows. Sam's knife wasn't going to penetrate anything by the head. Sam didn't ducked under the captain and stabbed the nearest guard holding Adam through his helmet. Twisted and pulled back. The man dropped without even a scream. Sam didn't even see the punch from the Captain that threw her to the ground, her little knife flying away as she landed. She **** her eyes to stay open, searching for Adam. She need not have worried.
Her cousin grabbed the other guard by the arm and spun him like a tornado, bowling over nearby guards before hurling him into the captain; sending both men rolling away down the hall. Before they even stopped sliding, Adam had scooped up Sam and ran through the few remaining guards, ignoring their feeble punches along the way. A airlock door slammed shut behind them. Trapping the guards on the other side.
"Cindi?" Sam asked through the comm.
"I'm here." Her cousin answered, voice heavy with guilt. "I blocked off all the doors to the airlock, the path should be clear, you could get there in under a minute." Sam looked down at her watch. Even then it was gonna be close. "Sam." Cindi cut in again.
"Yeah."
"I'm sorry."
Sam was surprised at her reaction. The old Sam, even the Sam from a few days ago, would have yelled at her for being so weak and nearly getting them killed. But she didn't need to do that, she realized. They were different people, with different strengths. She thought back to a few nights ago, being held all night by her cousin while she wept like a child. Sam was the woman you called you when you wanted to destroy things. But Cindi... Cindi put things back together.
"Don't be. Really. Just move your ass. I'm not leaving without you."
They ran through the empty white hallways. Adam hadn't said much. She doubted he ever would. Run all you want, the memories would always run faster. He was going to have some serious scars from this place. She thought of the girl they'd left on the floor. What had they done to him? Would he even be the same man she knew before? Would she still be able to love what was left of him? Yes. Sam crushed the traitorous thoughts down. Adam was the boy who jumped into the shallows for her. He never even hesitated. If there was even one speck of that boy still inside him, she could love the rest.
Cindi was already dragging her tiny frame into an oversized suit when they arrived. Sam dove into her own. They were out of time! Adam didn't even bother putting on a suit, instead he just grabbed a thruster kit and ratcheted it tight across his chest. Sam didn't even have her helmet on when she started the airlock cycle. Her watched let off the loudest alert yet, the end of the tether was passing them by. They burst out into space, the empty pad once again greeting them. Where were those commandos?
Sam pushed off as hard as she could thrusters flaring, trusting the others to do the same. The cable was just beyond her reach, she reached to grab it and nearly tore her arm from its socket. Fire erupted down her shoulder as she spun drunkenly, precious seconds passing by. Without her armor, without the **** was she truly good enough? Had they come this far only to lose it all inches from safety? Something impossibly strong clamped around her ankle and her drunken spin slowed. Sam saw Adam, face tight with strain, one hand locked around her ankle, the other oozing blood but holding tight to the cable, Cindi ridding him piggyback style. It shouldn't have been possible. But somehow....
They did it.
Minutes later the three of them were back in the cargo bay on the ship, Adam found himself under a hug attack. He didn't even fight it. Instead he wrapped his arms around Cindi and Sam and just laid on the floor, while they tried to squeeze the life out of him. After so long being treated like a thing, it felt ...human. Still his treacherous body kept trying to ruin things, his cock hardening at the thought of the three of them, contorted in a more intimate setting.
You deserve this. You deserve them. Both of them.
Stop it! Adam commanded. The horrors of the station weren't just what had been done to him. Mckenize's agonized face flashed silently through his mind. He could never do that to anyone, never again. He pushed the girls off.
"Cindi, are you pregnant? We need to take a test now!" Adam glanced down at her stomach. Still flat. How many days had it been? Did it even make a difference? Adam had no idea what was happening. From the look on her face, neither did Cindi. She looked at Sam, who shook her head.
"No one is pregnant, Adam." Aunt Kat strode into the cargo bay looking relieved to see him. She scooped him up into a brief hug before explaining. "I ran multiple blood tests on everyone back on Thiidian."
Adam was afraid to believe it, afraid to hope. "There was a girl, McKenzie, the one I had sex with, she was pregnant, she...." He trailed off, words lost in horror.
"The one that you bit, correct?" Aunt Kat studied him now. Adam noted the similarities between how she looked at him, and the scientists who'd held him captive. Only there was still warmth and love behind that cold assessment. "I believe I have some theories based on a few more Venix files I've read and it tracks with what you've told me. But first."
She turned to Sam. "Did you take the antiviral I gave you?"
Sam looked chagrined. "I was just about to, mom." She stabbed herself in the arm with a syrette. "Happy."
"Happier." Aunt Kat replied dryly, then turned back to Adam. "The Typhon has a parasitic reproductive system."
Adam nodded. "Murphy, the doctor who experimented on me mentioned that. Only each successive generation is less and less Typhon, more and more DNA from the mother is introduced. He wanted me to 'purify' myself somehow. Absorb the monsters into my own body and become more Typhon."
"Did you?" Aunt Kat's gaze was razor sharp.
Never!
"No." Adam answered honestly. Although he didn't want to say how close he'd come. He glanced at Cindi. How had they pulled off that particular trick?
"Good." Aunt Kat let out the breath she had been holding. "I think that's only half the truth. Typhon's may also reproduce via a cloning process. In essence, each Typhon could impregnate a woman and nine months later the woman will give birth to a healthy exact miniature copy of itself. The key seems to be the venom. It's not just a chemical compound, it also infects the host with a virus that will render it temporarily capable of bearing your offspring."
Adam thought he got it. "So if I don't bite anyone-
"Adam." Kat broke in gently. "I need you to understand, you aren't Typhon, but you aren't human either. Just like them, you're genetically sterile. There's simply no other creatures in the galaxy with your unique mix of DNA. No woman could ever bear you a real child, it would just be a newborn ...you."
Adam felt a coldness seep over him. He could hear the finality of her words, but she kept pressing forward.
"If you bite someone, they could become pregnant, but without constant injections of Typhon Venom, the fetus will enter survival mode. Instead of gestating in months, it will devour the mother, be born in days, before her immune system can kill it. The mother will be consumed and the children..."
Rabies Babies.
Keep biting? The Instinct suggested.
"So if I would have just brought McKenzie with me and kept biting her?" Adam asked.
"You'd have had a violent, dangerous ****, who might have killed us in the night, or just died anyway, when you got kidnapped." Aunt Kat answered.
Aunt Kat held up a syrette, identical to the one Sam had just injected. "I found this on Thiidian. Halcyon-9. It's an antiviral, designed to counteract the mycovirus inside you."
"What's a mycovirus?" Sam wondered out loud.
"It's a virus that attacks fungi." Cindi whispered to her.
Kat ignored them. "I lowered the dose, it should help keep your urges in check." Kat looked down to his pants, his monstrous erection still straining to break free. "Would you consider-
Adam didn't wait for her to finish, he grabbed the Halcyon and injected it straight into his neck. The cool liquid spread rapidly through his body, and his erection slowly began to soften. Cindi bit her lip while she was watching. Sam actually looked openly irritated.
"It should also act as an effective birth control for any female partners you encounter, should you, well you know, hun." Kat finished without looking around. Yep, she knew he'd been fucking her niece and daughter all right. With his hormones under control, Adam was able to feel good old fashioned embarrassment again. He didn't look at either girl.
Adam rose up to his feet, suddenly the world swam, he nearly fell on his face when he tried to take a step. His Aunt got him before either of the girls. "I don't feel so good." Adam croaked.
"I can take him Aunt Kat." Cindi practically lept to her feet.
"No let me." Sam actually tried to reach around her mother.
"He needs rest, girls! Rest!" Aunt Kat snapped. "I'll take him back to his quarters. Please give him some privacy. Doctor's orders."
Adam put a grateful arm around his aunt as she helped him walk away, he wasn't sure he could handled Cindi or Sam right now, certainly not both. Arrrrggg. How was he ever going to sort out this tangled mess of feelings and desires?
Cindi checked their course again. Yep, still running silent and out of system. The other ship was almost certainly hunting for them, but until they spun up the FTL drive, they'd be nearly invisible. So long Thiidian, you sucked. Cindi found herself fidgeting with the inertial dampeners, nope, don't touch those, unless you want to be made a puddle the next time the ship maneuvered. She **** her hands away. Maybe a walk would help her settle down?
It didn't, she found herself almost unwillingly drawn to the hall outside Adam's quarters. Hand raised to push the 'open' button, but she dragged it down. She just wanted to see him, maybe hear that he missed her a bit, was that sooooo bad? She wouldn't even get in the bed with him. Ughhhh. 'Boys ruin everything'. Especially smart girls brains. Although it wasn't her brain that was melting at the thought of laying down with her brother once more. She wouldn't **** him, but he might want to be touched, Cindi certainly was almost gagging to be fucked after these past few days of stress and adrenaline rush after adrenaline rush. No. It could wait. It could it could it could it could. She **** her legs to walk away and they carried her right into Sam who was rounding the corner.
"Oh." Sam jumped back. "Hey cuz."
"Sam! You startled me." Cindi's eyes narrowed. "What are you doing here?"
From the guilty look on her face, Cindi could already guess, but Sam didn't try to hide it. "I was going to see Adam."
Cindi pretended she hadn't been here for the exact same reason. "You heard what your mom said about letting him rest, right?"
"She's not actually a doctor, Cindi." Sam drawled. "If Adam doesn't want me in there, he'll tell me himself."
"Trust me, Sam, I'm been with him when he wasn't on the BB, Adam was like a whole other person. You can't handle it."
"Trust me, after the last few days, something I can't handle sounds amazing right now." Sam had that unstoppable look in her eye.
No more backing down. "You're not going in there!" Cindi tried to shove the larger woman back, but it was like a puppy yapping at a mastiff. Her cousin ignored her at first, then gently, effortlessly pinned Cindi to the wall, their faces inches apart. Sam's head was cocked, a little smile on her lips as she studied her. Cindi shuddered. It felt... odd... standing so close. And then just like that Sam pulled back, still content to watch Cindi under one arched brow. Cindi was breathing hard. And why the hell did she feel disappointed of all things? She gathered herself.
"What if we blow off steam another way?" Cindi asked, her cheeks still warm.
"What did you have in mind, Cinderella?" Sam's voice was like syrup, slow and sweet, gently caressing every vowel of her full name.
"My friends at school called me the Kidney-killer. I bet I can put you on your ass in three drinks or less." She challenged.
"Now you're talking my language." Sam smiled. "You and I have got a LOT to discuss "
Cindi wasn't sure, but she thought she felt Sam's eyes on her the entire time they walked.
Inside his room, Adam lay on the bed, his body still acclimating to the effects of the Halcyon. It wasn't so different from the BB; he didn't feel quite as strong or fast, but the urges were more controllable, his erection had subsided, for now at least. The Instinct still chimed in, so it was entirely the same, although Adam was starting to wonder if it wasn't more good than bad. It had advised him not to go through with that, ugh, absorption.
Aunt Kat never left his side, first taking his vitals and getting him settled in, before she started mothering him, gently wiping the sweat off his brow and brushing his hair. When Adam felt his heart finally slow and his nausea fade, she still lingered, mouth pinched, clearly something on the tip of her tongue.
Adam reached up and took her hand. "What do you want to tell me that you can't say in front of the girls?"
"You know the Alliance would take care of you. They'd want to study you, but it would be nothing like what you just went through."
"A prisoner." Adam said flatly.
"Living with every comfort imaginable." Aunt Kat countered.
"Is still a prisoner." He hadn't expected this. Maybe he should have though. "The shots-
"Are a temporary solution at best." Kat explained. They both looked down to his crotch, Adam's flagging erection had awoken, stirred back to life by her gentle tending.
"And if you accidentally get someone else pregnant? Cindi, Sam, me even? How do you think humanity would react to a new race rising up to threaten them, Adam?" She asked. "We can't even coexist with aliens. A better version of our species? The Neanderthals were smarter, stronger, superior versions of us and we ate them. Is that the life you want for your your loved ones? For your children? Always hiding or running?
"I didn't think about that." Adam admitted.
"Men seldom do. When I can as pregnant with Sam, I was terrified every single day. The galaxy was so big and and I just wasn't ready to be a mother. Her father hadn't thought about it, either. It wasn't that he didn't care, he was just careless. We both were." She paused, remembering. "There were days when I wished I never even had her, I was so scared. My baby girl. I don't know where she gets all that courage from." His Aunt let a few tears fall, shamed by her admission.
Adam reached to wipe her tears away, but Aunt Kat caught his hand. She kissed his knuckles before putting two fingers gently between his teeth, biting down ever so lightly on the knuckle, her eyes squeezed tight. When they opened again, Adam saw something familiar in there, a loneliness, a **** need unclench, to let go. How long had this woman carried this guilt? And would she ever forgive herself for mistakes made two decades hence.
Slowly, ever so gently, his Aunt moved his hand down and placed it firmly on her left breast.
"I thought you said..."
She planted a tender kiss on him. "Please Adam, you need this. I need this, too. You've always been there when we needed you." Her big brown eyes brimmed with vulnerability, a rejection now would shatter her.
"And I always will, Katerina. Always and forever." Adam finally said. And he reached up to kiss her back.
Their clothes seemed to melt off, Adam was still woozy, but his Aunt seemed happy to lead, she peppered him with kisses, eyes alight. She worked her way quickly down to his burning shaft, so eager for release after days neglect. Katerina didn't so much suck his shaft, as she did devour it whole; smearing it across her face, seeking his blessing. It was almost worshipful.
This time Adam sat back and let her work. Kat licked every inch, from crown to base, tugging firmly with a hand, or cupping his heavy, aching sack at the same time. Shining with saliva, she pumped him with both hands, his erection turning from steel to granite under her expert ministrations. When she took him in her mouth, tongue swirling and still pumping, always pumping, Adam cried out. He nearly lost it then and there. He needed to possess this woman. To make her his, joined together as only man and woman could be. Katerina seemed to sense his urgency, giving him once last teasing lick before rising above him, the pinkish folds of her sex, dripping with need.
Adam tried to rise, but she gently shook her head. She would lead, and he would follow. Katerina rose above him, magnificent breasts heavy and swaying with ever breath she took, the blunt, weeping head of his cock just milimeters away from her aching core. The first touch was electric. It felt like magic. It felt like destiny. And then with a single deep plunged, Kat took him all.
Kat groaned as her nephew's dick surged into her. The boy certainly had the natural attributes to please a woman, that was for sure. It wasn't just the size, every ridge and vein, every bump and bulge, tugged and stretched her walls, tickling those hard to reach spots that just fucking melted her. And the way he quivered when he was excited, it was like he vibrated. Kat was very nearly coming just sitting on his hips- albeit with a foot of twitching and jerking cock stuffed up against her womb. God, she wasn't going to last long. She started to rock her hips, doing all the work, while she brought them both to heaven.
Adam was like putty in her hands, the boy's face was heavy with strain. His hands, such strong hands that had dominated her like no man ever had before underneath Thiidian, where in his own hair now, clenching and pulling, powerless against the sensations he was feeling. The sensations she was giving him. Kat felt a thrill of pride that as she worked her hips in a circle, instinctively trying to draw out his precious seed. This was a man worthy of the word. Not some limp-wristed, eager to please, student from one of her lectures. He was a mighty bull, stronger than her, more powerful, capable at any moment of bending her to his will. Only her skill- she shuddered, body wracked with another orgasm -kept him from taking her however he wished. She was pleasing him, oh yes, but she hadn't made him cum.
They shifted closer and Kat fed herself into him. Placing one of his hands squarely on her endlessly rocking hips, the other finding its way to cup her heaving breast. She knew he had looked at them growing up. It had never bothered. It was natural to be curious. He wasn't curious now. He was a rapacious beast. Fondling, squeezing, even dragging her down to suckle before nipping lightly on her rosy pink nipple.
"Ouch." She grinned down at him in mock outrage. "I thought you stopped biting in primary school?"
"I took it back up again, when I learned- ugh, so tight -how much you ladies like being bitten." Adam moaned. "Observe."
He attacked the soft flesh beneath her nipple, sucking and clamping beneath his teeth; the sharp pain was a delicious partner to the glowing rapture between her legs. Adam pulled back to admire his handiwork and revealed...a hickey. She hadn't had one of those in far too long. It did look good, she decided. A nice mark she could see and remind herself of this moment....Not that she would ever do this again. This was just once, just for tonight. Kat clenched on her nephews rock hard shaft again, the pleasure radiating up from her nethers and engulfing her. She wailed and thrashed.... and still Adam refused to cum.
Deep in her bones, Kat knew why. A bull needed to mate, to be ridden was one thing, but he also needed to ride. And frankly, as amazing as this felt, she wanted another taste of what she'd had on Thiidian. She rolled off him and laid on her back. Adam didn't hesitate, following her over and piercing her deeply from above. God he felt like he belonged inside her, if she could have this every day, probably two or three times, knowing her appetites...she'd be a very happy, very bowlegged woman. Kat wanted more, she tore Adam's hand from the possessive grip it had on her bruised boob- the boy had been admiring his own handiwork - and wrapped it around her own neck. Their eyes met, Adam's shocked, Kat's knowing. She nodded, 'Yes, I want this'.
Only her poor sweet nephew was still a young bull, his gentleness winning out, he didn't want to hurt her. But she knew they both needed this. "Adam."
His big blue eyes searched her hazel ones, a little lost boy once more. "Katerina, I've never-
"**** me." She commanded. Smiling as she felt his grip harden. The pleasure of his pounding cock was only magnified by the lack of breath. "Harder." She gasped.
His hand squeezed her windpipe. He was tighter than any lover had ever dared, tight enough to make her wheeze, his hips beating her into submission. Almost there. Kat laid back and let her body go limp, his to use and **** or even destroy if he wanted. "More." She whispered.
Adam's hand wrapped around her neck like a vise, no air escaped. Her eyes bulged, and skin went numb. All except for one part, the thrusting between her legs magnified tenfold. As her brain shut down from lack of oxygen, the sensation from her tight quim became her entire world, the pounding, stretching, aching thrusts were the only thing that mattered, the only thing that existed.
Kat exploded, hips rising to capture her press against her nephews, hands tearing at the sheets, she was consumed by her orgasm. As Adam's hand flew off her neck and the air flooded back into her body, Kat heard distantly the sharp cry of her nephew as he pulled out, his lethal seed splattering harmlessly against her stomach. Always the good man, the noble savage, her beloved nephew. She gasped, body still caught in the little ****, her throat positively ached, she touched it with a wince, another bruise to carry as a reminder of tonight. This one a bit harder to hide.
Adam curled in behind her, his arms a gentle prison she gladly locked herself within. As she drifted off, muscles languid and wonderfully aching, mind at ease for the first time in as long as she could remember, it didn't even occur to Kat to try and make her way back to her quarters. She found she enjoyed the closeness, as much as she had the mind blowing sex. What a novel thought.
"Always." She whispered into the dark.
"And forever."
