Chapter 23
by The Marksman
What do you do, Adam? What do you do?
(Do it) Well behaved women, rarely make history
Cindi clung to her cousin as they sped through the asteroid belt, completely untethered to any ship, only tiny suit thrusters for course correction and the breaking maneuver that had looked much more realistic on paper, than it felt in person. Cindi wished they'd brought even one more suit of power armor; it clung to Sam like a second skin, sure every curve was emphasized, every crevice on display, but compared to Cindi in her several sizes too big, garbage bag of a space suit, it seemed heavenly. She tried to quiet her chattering teeth. 'We will get Adam back'. Eyes closed against the sight of speeding micrometeorites and near misses from rocks the size of houses, it became her mantra. We will get Adam back. She felt a ping off her suit and waited for the inevitable explosive decompression.
"The suits are made for this kind of stuff, Cindi." Sam drawled, her eyes weren't closed at all. She looked calm but somehow also dangerous, like a sharpened blade ready to strike. "Not that I mind, but we're harnessed together, you don't have to wrap your legs around me either." Sam tugged at the D-clips connecting them at the waist.
Cindi blushed like fire and slowly unwrapped her legs from around the other woman. "The torpedo is set for two more minutes. We got this right?"
"Put a bow on it, we're all wrapped up." Sam replied. "Let's power down and wait for the fireworks."
Sam's armor lights turned off, Cindi followed suit in her garbage bag of a suit. Then they waited. 30 seconds went by. Two minutes. Three. Five. Nothing happened. They turned their electronics back on.
"What happened?" Cindi asked.
"I dunno." Sam answered, she sounded tense now. Wary. They could see the base, hurtling closer every second. A dark, squat structure nestled into a crater, no external lights, even on the landing pad. Easy to miss.
Had the torpedo malfunctioned? Or been detected? The former would be disastrous, the latter catastrophic. It didn't matter either way, they were already moving faster than the Invader, which was slowing even further behind them. If they didn't stop, they'd be adrift in space.
Sam agreed and on they floated. Breaking hard near the surface, but they were still moving fast. Too fast. Cindi let one arm stray to close to the rock and caught an unlucky edge, and they tumbled, end over end, in a nauseating somersault. Cindi fought to keep from vomiting in the suit, her body on the verge of blacking out. Sam was shouting something in her ear, but all Cindi could hear was ringing. Then a horrific clang, and suddenly Sam was wrenching her arm and heaving them to a halt. They had made it to the empty landing platform.
"Find the torpedo!" Sam called over, panting through the comm. Cindi flicked her pad on through the suit interface, bringing up the expected trajectory, if should have passed just overtop the base before reactivating. Instead if was just gone. She looked around. A thousand explanations could suit, but they didn't have time. The Invader was coming and it couldn't wait.
"It's gone!" Cindi cried. "I'm still going in, are you with me?"
Sam stared at her, this idea had already been a longshot, and they'd agreed if it went wrong they'd abort while they still had a chance.
"To the bitter end." She said, and she meant it, Cindi saw. Stupid, impossible hope fluttered in her belly.
"I can get us inside. I just know it." Cindi said. We will get Adam back.
A way inside had turned out to be crawling through the waste disposal system. On the outside of the airlock it hadn't been so bad. Just a few cubes of freeze dried refuse, but once they'd gotten inside the compaction chamber and took their helmets off they were assaulted by the stench of hot, rotting garbage and human waste. Cindi took the opportunity to hurl into the ankle deep scum. Sam's face turned green before they made it safely away from the noxious fumes.
"Okay. So we're here." Cindi had set her pad to holographic projection mode once they reached deserted alcove that lead into the maintenance ducts. Cindi's suit wouldn't fit inside, she wasn't going to shed any tears about leaving it behind either. Clumsy oversized garbage bag, and now it positively reeked! The white jumpsuit she had underneath was far more comfortable. "Near this end of the base. Adam is on the far end."
"Can you still kill the lights and lock things down?" Sam asked as she studied the map with an appraising eye.
"Not from here. I have local control, turn lights on and off, that sort of thing, but if I try anything tough they'll boot me out of the network. I'd need to be at a main juncture, like a command center or right on top of the mainframe."
"Is this the mainframe?" Sam pointed to an area off to the side, nearly halfway between them and Adam.
"That's it." Cindi confirmed.
Sam looked her dead in the eye, she had her game face on. God, she looked strong. Cindi wanted her face to look like that. Her hands were already shaking. "I need you to go there and link in, give me tech support while I break Adam out. We'll rendezvous on the way back."
"You want me to go there on my own? Without you?" Cindi couldn't keep the fear out of voice.
"You can do this." Sam said, and she looked like she meant it. "You're a jarhead now. You fought a monster in a secret underground lab. You took out a highly trained commando on Thiidian. You even went EVA. That's a hell of a service jacket and it's only your first week. Nothing else is going to go wrong, but if it does, call me, take the serum and get out."
"We will get Adam back." Cindi thought out loud.
"Damn straight." Sam put a hand on her shoulder. She paused, before she spoke again. "What's it feel like anyway? That stuff."
"You ever do Xiz?"
Sam eyes widened in horror. Straight edge people were so easy to tease.
“Me neither.” Cindi grinned back at her. “Its probably about the same. You feel strong, angry, fast. It doesn't last long though."
Sam stroked the pouch containing the vial thoughtfully. She turned to go, but Cindi grabbed her arm.
“I'm sorry about what I said before. About people always choosing me.” Cindi said. “Sisters not misters, right?”
Sam smiled. “Chicks before dicks.”
“Uggggh. It's a really nice dick though. Maybe we could just bring that back?”
They both laughed at that. The adrenaline making them giddy.
Sam leaned down and planted a kiss on her forehead, just like when they were kids. "Not brave, huh."
"You really rubbed off on me." Cindi replied. "Should I go first?"
"Nah, let me lead. You can follow my pretty butt all the way up." And with that Sam started climbing, hips popping side to side as she went. Cindi had to admit, the woman had a very nearly perfect peach for an ass. Not that, Cindi really looked of course. It was just hard to miss. They climbed for a whole level and crawled through meter after meter of maintenance tunnels before they came to an intersection, Sam went one way, Cindi had to go the other. She was on her own again.
Heart hammering all of a sudden, Cindi checked to make sure she still had her trusty laspistol, then made her way to the mainframe. Her overactive mind raced, certain each step would be her last. A hail of gunfire, booby traps or even just getting trapped and starving to ****; she was still plotting her certain doom when she tumbled into a room freezing, sterile white room. She made it. Big iron was standing in the center waiting for her.
Cindi rushed up and linked her pad. She was in seconds later. This place had negligible security; passwords were for basic bitches. Sam was right, she could do this. Hell, she didn't even need the vial. Knowledge was her weapon. She could vent atmosphere from rooms, close doors on unsuspecting victims, shut off the heat exchanges and roast them alive; so many ways to die on a space station. One thing was for sure, they didn't deserve her mercy. She'd seen what these people did on Thiidian, **** was too good for them.
Cindi pulled the vial of dark liquid out of her pouch and stared at it. So basic.
"You in position?" Sam hissed in her ear.
Started, Cindi's hand twitched, and despite her frantic grasping she could only watch as the serum tumbled from her grip to shatter against the floor. Oh God.
"Hey. I'm ready to roll. But there's bad guys crawling all over the place here. I count a dozen just in the hall between me and Adam. Some in power armor." A pause. "They have pouches on their arms."
Cindi started to panic. Sam was lying. Everything was going wrong. She was going to die. What was she even doing here? She was just a college student for Christ's sake? For Adam, that little voice inside her said. We're here for Adam. Only she couldn't save Adam if she was dead or 'harvested'. She looked at her watch, The Invader would be passing them any second, even with the trailing wire, that only gave them minutes to catch it or be left behind! Oh god oh god oh god!
"Sam we have to-
Sam cut her off. "I'm staying Cindi. And I'm going to roll in five seconds. If you can help me, I could really use it, little sister."
Sam peeked around the corner again, she counted at least a dozen people in the hall between her and Adam. Most of them armed, all of them had pouches full of serum. She needed to take them out fast, before they could dose up. Only, Sam had brought a slug thrower as her primary; less chance to blow a hole in the wall and turn a SAR into Debellatio. Unfortunately, that same cautious caliber, was going to make armor tougher to beat. Closest to her was a huge man in full power armor. Unlike Sam, he'd been smart enough to keep his helmet on. She'd have stab him center mass.
If Cindi came through for her- When Cindi came through for her, she'd have crowd control. Time to smash. Sam pulled the vial out of her side pouch and drove the plunger into her neck, twisted and felt the warmth, then burning sensation ripple through her body. She felt hot, strong and angry.
Sam ripped around the corner and snapped off a pair of bursts as she ran. Two down. Keep the groupings tight, Sam. Four-three-two-one leap; she sailed through the air to slam into the giant's back and thrust. Her electroblade had been pushed aside by the spinal armor, but it still plunged deep into his kidney. He made that sound, that strangled gasp people make when three decimeters of metal enter your body. Sam's lips curled into a smile. Payback felt good. She grabbed his arm pouch and crushed the vials inside as he dropped to his knees. 'No magic juice for you'.
Sam crouched behind her human shield, bullets and lasbeams whizzing by or straight up pinging off the giant's armor. She popped under his armpit and fired another burst, eight baddies left. The ones near the back stopped firing and started reaching for their arm pouches. Not good. The two other soldiers in power armor were already up and charging. Sam tried to wrench the blade free of the downed giant, who moaned in agony, but it held fast, stuck on some chunk of armor or bone. The other two bad guys in power armor were halfway to her. Fuck.
"Cindi, I want the gravity off in this hall." Sam said. The giant rumbled and tried to rise, Sam managed to kick the blade in deeper and he slumped in defeat. She popped off another shot, seven left, big guys right on top of her. "Cindi! Gravity off now!"
Cindi didn't answer. Sam vaulted over the top the bleeding giant and spun into a wheel kick. She connected with the lead guard's head and he dropped. The second guard tackled her so hard it nearly folded her in half. Oddly, she didn't even feel the pain. His tackle carried them both to the floor; and they wrestled as they slid deeper down the hall. Sam kicked off at the corner, pushing them out of the line of fire; she was the idiot who hadn't worn a helmet after all. The man pummeled her from above, the whole time, it was all she could do to block her head.
The other guard tried grabbed her shielding arms and pulled. Only they didn't move an inch. She was stronger than him, she realized. Sam pushed back and rolled, pined him to the floor with her knees, and smashed his pouch with a fist. Instead of a wet crunch there was only the tinkle of breaking glass. All the vials were empty. "Did somebody take all their medicine early?"
She ended their conversation with a hammer blow to his armored head. Her watch chimed urgently, she didn't have time for this. Sam dashed into the action, scooping up her rifle as she went, dropping the remaining soldiers without breaking stride. This stuff was good. Too good. She could already feel its addictive lure. The strength it offered. The freedom from pain. It was intoxicating.
That last guard was a junkie. No, they all were. He just had less control. If Sam he didn't want to end up like them, she couldn't fall in love with how it made her feel. The antiviral syrette in her belt pouch called to her. First she had to get Adam.
Sam burst into the holding chamber. It was stark white with a glass cage- just like the one on Thiidian -that dominated the room. They didn't even notice her when she came in, such was their focus on the strange phenomenon within the cage. Sam couldn't even see Adam inside, just an odd, writhing mass of bone white hair(?) that rose from ceiling to floor in one corner. Was he inside?
"Open the cage now!" She commanded. Sam felt, rather than saw the punch coming. She ducked and rolled, taking a glancing hit to her back instead of a knock out punch. She glanced back at her new friend. It was one of those Crisis freaks. She recognized the dark scaly armor, only he'd taken his helmet off, so she could see the white, hairless flesh underneath. How had she missed him when she swept the room?
Well she saw him now. He had a nasty, powerdrunk smile on his face. In his hand was a piece of Sam's suit. Fucker tore it right out of her. She took a step forward, and nearly fell, her armor weaving drunkenly. Double fuck, he tore out a gyroscope. Smiley dropped the gryo and pulled a laspistol in a flash. Sam dove for cover, energy beams heating up her legs as she went. Crouching behind a nearby column, she ignored the screams of terror from the lab staff and quieted her mind. It had to be a headshot.
Sam popped around the corner, rifle tight to her shoulder-
Only to get punched in the face. He'd anticipated her. She reeled back against a combo, but he didn't go for her body. He grabbed her rifle. The metal shrieked and twisted in his hands, as useless as the armor now weighing her down. Make that triple fuck. Retreat gone, time to attack. Sam launched forward into a tackle, but he braced and threw her over a shoulder. Sam twisted and skidded across the room, but no lasfire cut her up as she expected. Instead, Smiley just watched her scramble to her feet. He was playing with her.
Sam dodged to the side, as fast as she could with twice her normal weight jiggling off her, then grabbed a instrument try and flung it at him. Smiley causally step aside and shot her full in the chest. The armor steamed around her and burned a patch of skin, but Sam still couldn't feel it. She had to reach him. She just had to. Sam ripped a table off the ground and used it as a shield as she charged, only the trip over her own feet and skid to the floor. Smiley lazily shot her in the back. Sam rolled clear and ended up in a small alcove with some scientists who looked simply terrified at the sight of her. Sam hated them she realized. Hated that they could be so divorced from the **** their actions wrought. Thiidian, the Typhons, and now getting people hooked on **** juice, it was all their fault. They deserved worse than a little fear and discomfort. Sam glared at them. Maybe one of them would make a good shield?
No.
That wasn't who she was. This stuff was poison, her mother was right. It rotted people. She didn't need it to beat so asshole with a gun. Sam thumbed the emergency release on her useless armor. It dropped away in shreds, all except for the reinforced gloves. Those she kept on. Dangerous. But she was light and fast now.
Sam sprang off out of her hiding spot and sprinted as fast as she could at Smiley. The first lasbeam went wide by centimeters. The next she caught on her left glove. She actually smelled the flesh burning, but the metal held and it felt so good to see Smiley's eyes widen in fear right before she drove her burning fist into his head. She followed the punch with a hug and a headbutt and down they went. They wrestled for the gun. Without her armor, Sam wasn't as strong as him, she had to be quick. She smashed the gun against the ground; once-twice-done.. Then released her grip and rolled them so she was straddling Smiley on his back. He aimed the gun at her head, blood streaming down his face from her punch; he was done playing now. He pulled the trigger. Click. Nothing.
"Rock beats scissors, asshole." Sam snarled. His eyes widened, but she was already pummeling him. He wasn't smiling now. Actually, he didn't have any teeth by the time Sam finished. She dropped her ruined, bloody gloves and picked up the broken laspistol.
Sam turned back to the shocked faces around her. They'd been too engrossed to run before. Now they were too scared. Sam aimed at the nearest white coat- a doctor it seemed. "Open the cage."
"I can't. The process is unfinished, the subject..." Sam didn't have time for this, her chiming watch reminded her. She punched the still talking woman in the face, then grabbed her by the hair and dragged her to her knees, the still hot barrel of Sam's weapon was millimeters from her left eye.
"Is it finished now?" Sam growled.
The glass unsealed before Sam's very eyes even as the scientists and other staff fled. Adam was inside that mass of ....whatever it was. Creepy angel hair tentacles? As if hearing her thoughts, her cousin emerged from inside, skin glistening and wet. 'He was so beautiful', came the involuntary thought. Had he missed her? Could they not spare a few minutes to- No! They had to go NOW!
"Sam" Adam said. "You came for me."
He sounded odd, like an echo of the man she knew, his eyes had a strange light to them, it was like he didn't even see her. It was far from the joyful reunion she'd tried and failed, not to picture these past days.
"I tried to save Cindi." Adam said distantly. "At least they didn't make me watch any more."
"What? Cindi's fine, she'd pissing me off, but she's fine. Come on, we gotta roll." Sam explained.
"Cindi... is alive?" Adam asked, his eyes twitching, fists clenching and unclenching. He had his head cocked to the side, seeming to listen and nod at some unseen voice. Was Adam going crazy? He turned back to the webbing, was it reaching toward him? What the hell was going on???
"I didn't remember before, but it is so beautiful on the inside." Adam grabbed her arm. "Sam. I must show you." He effortlessly tugged her toward the webbing. Not gonna happen. Sam pistol whipped him. Adam dropped her arm and shook his head, awareness coming back into his glowing blue eyes. "Sam?"
She didn't have time for ....whatever this was.
"Follow me or we'll miss our ride." Sam pulled him forward as alarms began to wail around them. "You square?"
She certainly wasn't, she already felt the chemical joy fading from her veins. She felt slow, tired. The more she tried to hold on to her beast mode, the quicker it slipped through her fingers. and now they had to fight their way out of here.
There were more guards in the hall. At least another dozen, more coming, Sam bet. At least only a handful had power armor. It was still going to be a slaughter. Two unarmored people against a base full of guards, most of whom were had only paused to shove a dose of serum in their veins. A voice came in over the intercom. It sounded almost kindly, like someone's favorite Grandpa, but Adam cringed when he heard it speak.
"Subject Alpha-09 has breached containment. Secure him via nonlethal means only. The woman is of no consequence. Take her alive if possible, she may be a harvest candidate."
Sam didn't like the sound of that. Adam stepped in front of her. Sam didn't like that either, but they weren't going to shoot him. "Stay behind me."
"Just try and keep up old man." She shot back. Fear was biting into her now that the **** wore off, pain slowing her down. Adam sprinted forward, Sam fresh in his shadow. Adam shrugged off stunners as he ran, only to bowl into the first rank of guards, tossing them aside like twigs, roaring and smashing. Sam darted into the fray, hands itching for a loose weapon, preferably something lethal. Adam knocked a armored guard into Sam and gave her just the opportunity she was looking for. She clubbed the guy over the head, no effect. She grabbed his rifle and twisted it to point at his leg, squeezed the trigger. She used his electroknife to cut the rifle strap free and finished the apparently indifferent guard with a headshot.
Sam worked her way through the crowd, popping off targets wherever she could find them. It wasn't easy, Adam moved so fast, she nearly hit him twice. Shots started coming back at her, as the guards gave up on live capture. With no cover she tried to get anyone lining up a decent shot. Pretty soon it was all she could do just to keep herself alive, she'd already had a handful of near misses. Adam was slowing down too, three power armored men were hammering him from all sides. A fourth broke away and charged Sam.
Sam lit him up with plasma, but he just kept coming despite the horrid pits in his armor and flesh. She held down the trigger until the barrel went white, hammering his chest with shot after shot. The guard staggered, but didn't die. Sam flipped her rifle around and clubbed him in the head as he rose, but he just shrugged it off and sucker punched her in the gut, then smashed her face with a headbutt. Sam dropped to her knees; eyes watering, she watched Adam trade world-breaking blows down the hall, seemingly outmatched. Power armor- too strong for Sam's bare flesh -dented and sparked when Adam's reinforced bones made contact, but still, her cousin had a fair share of bruises and blood to show for it. They had been so close.
"Sam!" Cindi's voice floated in her ear like an angel reaching down from above. "Sam, can you hear me?"
"Cin-di?" Sam coughed. "We're in rough shape here."
The guard above her raised a fist to finish her off. Sam **** her eyes open. Drinking in every detail of her last moments. He was fully armored, head to toe, but had a pair of white bars on his left arm. A captain? Adam was roaring and thrashing, Cindi was saying something in her ear. It was all background. The world had shrunk to just the two of them.
"Too bad. I would have loved to watch 09 put some Rabies Babies in you." The captain taunted her then slammed his fist towards Sam's face.
Only for it to stop, mere inches above her nose. Adam had caught it, just inches above her nose, eyes so hateful she nearly lost her breath. The guards he'd been fighting were in a messy pile near the end of the hall. Some still alive. It didn't matter.
Adam grabbed the Captain by the neck. He ignored the feeble counter-punches, instead lifting the man with one huge arm and dragging him right up to his face. "I'm gonna tear your head off now." Adam growled. And then he proceeded to do exactly that. His other hand gripped just below the chin, muscles flexing and popping. The Captain's screams and flailing limbs; pointless theater. The man was already dead, he just didn't know it yet. The metal scrapped and tore, blood poured down Adam's body as he dropped the two limp, useless human pieces and roared a challenge.
Only for it to be cut off, as an emergency airlock slammed shut between them.. Adam raged and beat at the heavy metal with his fists. Sam knew it was only a matter of time before the bad guys got through, especially with Adam pounded dent after dent in it from their side.
"Cindi. Did you do this?"
"Sam. Oh my god! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" Cindi sounded on the verge of tears.
"It's okay. We're okay." Sam tried to calm her down. She turned to Adam, still raging away. "Stop! What are you doing!"
Adam turned back to her, wild manic fury in his glowing eyes. He didn't seem all that different from the commandos at that moment, full of rage, looking for a target to unleash it upon. He took a step towards Sam. Her wary glance made him pause, then remember himself. "I-I'm-
"It doesn't matter. We gotta go!" Sam told him. She thumbed her comm. "Cindi find us an exit."
There was a very pregnant pause before her cousin replied. "There isn't one. I'm so sorry Sam, I was just trying to get those guys away from you and now I've-
Sam cut the comm. More guards was waiting on the other side of that door, and she didn't think they'd be trying to capture this time. Adam stared at a nearby window thoughtfully, he touched a nearby emergency sealant kit. "I've got an idea." He said. "Tell Cindi to get out now!"
"Cindi get to the airlock, we'll meet you outside. Hurry!" Sam watched as Adam lifted the the captain's head off the floor, he pulled the oozing appendage out to empty it, inspected the seal. The door pounded by small breaching charges behind him. Not long now. Adam pushed the helmet over Sam's head. It wasn't a great fit, but now wasn't the time to waste air with complaints. Adam sealed the helmet to her neck with silicon. The sound in the room went fuzzy and distant.
"Whatever you do, don't let go of me!" Adam shouted. "You should have a couple minutes worth of air in there."
"What about you?" Sam yelled.
"I don't need air." He replied back tersely, then scooped her up onto his chest like a baby sloth. "Wrap your legs around me."
"You could have at least bought me dinner first!" Sam screamed as Adam punched through the glass and the they flew out into space in a whirlwind of explosive decompression. Adam shielded her with his body and landed on his feet, barely even slowed. He soared in the low gravity of the asteroid, each step a two meter leap, never pausing or stumbling. How he could see anything without a mask, Sam had no idea. For herself, she knew she was gonna feel this tomorrow, her skin felt like it was bursting, raw and burning all at once. The blood in her veins was boiling in the zero pressure environment, she recalled from a distant class at the Citadel. Sam looked up at the face of the man who was carrying her to safety, shamefully wondering just how human he really was anymore? Even as a part of her, some deep primal mating instinct warmed at the thought of such a powerful specimen. Was that little boy who fed the baby goats with her every morning still in there? Or was he something else now, something more than human?
Sam was drawn out of her thoughts when Adam grabbed a floundering Cindi struggling with a hastily thrown on space suit just outside the airlock. He grabbed her and tossed her onto his back before gathering his strength and leaping so hard Sam nearly lost her grip. Without even a hint of strain, Adam caught the trailing cable and absorbed the murderous acceleration.
They were safe. For now.
Minutes later the three of them were back in the cargo bay on the ship, Sam was pouring acetone on her neck, Cindi was sitting shamefaced and blotchy in the corner. It had been a disaster, but they lived. Adam knew he must look terrifying, freeze dried blood coated half his body. Why had he done that? Why kill in such a savage way? He looked over to his sister, then back to his cousin, yes he would kill for these people, he had killed even, these last few years. But he had always thought there were lines he wouldn't cross. Only now he was finding himself on the far side of those lines, and he didn't like how easy it had been to get there.
Cindi walked over and threw herself into Adam's arms, sobbing and begging for his forgiveness. Sam, less tearful, but far from at ease, tried to reassure the younger woman while throwing an arm around each of them. As Cindi's sobs trailed off, Adam let his worries fade into background noise. They'd figure things out, they'd have too. The hug felt nice. It felt normal. His cock refused to respect the situation, hardening at the mere touch of two nubile females. He wanted to pull his hips away, but instead he found himself grinding them against the first flesh of Cindi's stomach. Very familiar territory. And Sam. Something new, but still just as sweet. He wanted them both. Badly. Not just as bedmates, but as companions, friends, lovers. It was an impossibly selfish thought, but one that refused to be buried.
You can have them both.
How? Adam asked, unable to stop himself. The horrors of the station were fresh in his mind, but all Adam could think about was how good it had felt to tear into that black armored bastard. He would never let any harm come to his mates. Mckenize's agonized face flashed silently through his mind. He could never do that to anyone, never again.
"Cindi, are you pregnant? We need to take a test now!" Adam glanced down at her stomach. Still flat. How many days had it been? Did it even make a difference? Adam had no idea what was happening. From the look on her face, neither did Cindi. She looked at Sam, who shook her head.
"No one is pregnant, Adam." Aunt Kat strode into the cargo bay looking relieved to see him. She scooped him up into a brief hug before explaining. "I ran multiple blood tests on everyone back on Thiidian."
Adam was afraid to believe it, afraid to hope. "There was a girl, McKenzie, the one I had sex with, she was pregnant, she...." He trailed off, words lost in horror.
"The one that you bit, correct?" Aunt Kat studied him now. Adam noted the similarities between how she looked at him, and the scientists who'd held him captive. Only there was still warmth and love behind that cold assessment. "I believe I have some theories based on a few more Venix files I've read and it tracks with what you've told me. But first."
She turned to Sam. "Did you take the antiviral I gave you?"
Sam looked chagrined. "I was just about to, mom." She stabbed herself in the arm with a syrette. "Happy."
"Happier." Aunt Kat replied dryly, then turned back to Adam. "The Typhon has a parasitic reproductive system."
Adam nodded. "Murphy, the doctor who experimented on me mentioned that. Only each successive generation is less and less Typhon, more and more DNA from the mother is introduced. He wanted me to 'purify' myself somehow. Absorb the monsters into my own body and become more Typhon."
"Did you?" Aunt Kat's gaze was razor sharp.
She isn't ready. Not yet.
"No." Adam lied. It wasn't like he'd had a choice. Cindi... Only Cindi was fine, alive in his arms, hips grinding dangerously against...And he felt amazing! Even better than he had before. Whatever, it was just one time. He wouldn't do it again.
Unless you need to.
"That's good." Aunt Kat eyed him warily. Adam had forgotten just how hard it was to lie to her. "I think that's only half the truth. Typhon's may also reproduce via a cloning process. In essence, each Typhon could impregnate a woman and nine months later the woman will give birth to a healthy exact miniature copy of itself. The key seems to be the venom. It's not just a chemical compound, it also infects the host with a virus that will render it temporarily capable of bearing your offspring."
Adam thought he got it. "If I don't bite anyone-
"Adam." Kat broke in gently. "I need you to understand, you aren't Typhon, but you aren't human either. Just like them, you're genetically sterile. There's simply no other creatures in the galaxy with your unique mix of DNA. No woman could ever bear you a real child, it would just be a newborn ...you."
Adam felt a coldness seep over him. He could hear the finality of her words, but she kept pressing forward.
"If you bite someone, they could become pregnant, but without constant injections of Typhon venom, the fetus will enter survival mode. Instead of gestating in years, it will devour the mother, be born in days, before her immune system can kill it. The mother will be consumed and the children..."
Rabies Babies.
Keep biting? The Instinct suggested.
"So if I would have just brought McKenzie with me and kept biting her?" Adam asked.
"You'd have had a violent, dangerous ****, who might have killed us in the night, or just died anyway, when you got kidnapped." Aunt Kat answered.
Aunt Kat held up a syrette, identical to the one Sam had just injected. "I found this on Thiidian. Halcyon-9. It's an antiviral, designed to counteract the mycovirus inside you."
"What's a mycovirus?" Sam wondered out loud.
"It's a virus that attacks fungi." Cindi whispered to her.
Kat ignored them. "I lowered the dose, it should help keep your urges in check." Kat looked down to his pants, his monstrous erection still straining to break free. "Would you consider taking it? It should keep your urges in check."
Adam thought about it. He wasn't sure he should keep his urges in check, there were two willing females here, more than enough to keep his head clear and his balls drained. No one had to get hurt. It wouldn't be like before. Adam wouldn't let that happen.
Take it. You can handle it. The Instinct suggested.
Adam grabbed the syrette and reluctantly injected himself. The cool liquid spread rapidly through his body, and his erection slowly began to soften. Cindi bit her lip while she was watching. Sam actually looked openly irritated.
"It should also act as an effective birth control for any female partners you encounter, should you, well you know, hun." Kat nearly blurted out, eyes searching Adam's own. He met her stare for stare. 'Yes, I'm fucking Cindi and Sam, and I'm about to add Sam's mother to my stable.' His eyes said. Aunt Kat's eyes widened and her mouth dropped open.
Adam rose up to his feet, suddenly the world swam, he nearly fell on his face when he tried to take a step. His Aunt got him before either of the girls. "I don't feel so good." Adam croaked.
"I can take him Aunt Kat." Cindi practically lept to her feet.
"No let me." Sam actually tried to reach around her mother.
"He needs rest, girls! Rest!" Aunt Kat snapped. "I'll take him back to his quarters. Please give him some privacy. Doctor's orders."
Adam let Kat lead him away from the girls, the heady copper musk already starting to invade the room. He let his hand slip down her shoulder to squeeze the succulent ass below, savoring the worried look she gave him. His cock had returned to full mast, and he knew exactly were it was going next.
Cindi sat at the bar and poured herself another shot. How many was this exactly? The world spun a bit as she counted. Ha, she could still count, so not enough. Before she could down it Sam grabbed it and took the pull. Bitch was always taking what wasn't hers. No, Cindi was the bitch. She'd nearly gotten them killed today. She felt like crying.
"Hey." Sam pounded her on the back. Hard. "None of that. It was your first real Op. People freeze up. You'll do better on your next one."
"Really?" Cindi asked.
"Can't do any worse." Sam replied, watching her out of the side of her eye, before cocking an eyebrow.
"Jerk!" But Cindi laughed anyway.
"We all walked away today." Sam put a hand on her shoulder. "That's good enough."
Sam sat poured herself a double and threw it back.
"I'm surprised your not in Adam's room right now, trying to jump his bone." Cindi tried to keep the jealousy out of her voice.
Sam just shook her head.
"Is something wrong?" Cindi was genuinely curious now. "I thought he was your whole world."
"Does he seem ...different to you?" Sam asked, voice carefully neutral.
"Yeah. A lot. But I don't exactly hate the changes." Cindi's cheeks burned at the thought of her brother's thick body pressed against hers. If Sam wasn't going to partake, maybe little sister...
"I don't mean from weeks ago, I mean he's different since they took him. There's something missing from him." Sam took another double. How did she not even wince? "Something in his eyes."
"They tortured him, Sam. Adam was never going to come out of that place the same as he went in. But he's still Adam." Cindi gave Sam's shoulder a squeeze. "Now stop worrying, you'll get wrinkles."
Sam chuckled and looked over at her, tension slowly leaving her face. "When did you get so smart?"
Cindi smiled, it felt good to pull her own weight. Oddly enough, helping Sam through her doubts, made Cindi feel a whole lot better . She was entirely caught off guard by her cousin's next question.
"And when did you get so hot?" Cindi choked on her chaser, spraying wine across the bartop. Sam politely handed her a napkin before continuing. "I mean the boobs are great, obviously. But you just have this little, ugh, cute face you make, its adorable. I totally get why Adam can't keep his hands off you."
Cindi was hyperventilating by the third sentence. Where had that come from! Was her cousin....was she...she couldn't mean.... Sam raked her eyes over Cindi, landing on her face with a smirk.
"You're messing with me!" Cindi finally squeaked out.
Sam just kept looking at her, eyes predatory and dark. She ever so slowly leaned forward. Cindi felt her mouth dry out, her lips began to tingle as blood rushed in, preparing them to kiss. Were they going to kiss? What was happening??? Sam was so close she could feel the older woman's breath, just before they made contact, Sam spoke.
"Cinderella." She whispered, each syllable a near miss of their puckered lips, the slightest change would make them touch. Cindi closed her eyes. "Can I borrow this?"
Her eyes shot open, Sam was leaning back, the half empty whiskey bottle clutched in one hand. Without breaking her stare, Sam took a slow pull, then licked her lips before swaggering out of the room.
"I'm gonna take a walk. Think about what you said. We'll catch up later." Sam called back.
Cindi sat quivering and shaking in her bar stool for a long time after that.
The inside of Adam's quarters were a riot of sounds, sights and smells. The scent of copper flooded everything, but it was his Aunt's whorish wails and meaty smacks of her ass against his hips that most enticed him.
Adam had not been a gentleman during the walk back, his strength slowly returning, he'd openly molested his Aunt in the halls, before shoving her up against a wall to **** her into a hot open mouthed kiss. Not that she'd needed much forcing. Her pathetic mewls and protests hadn't stopped her from squeezing his rock hard cock through his pants, nor kept her from crying out when he fingered her to an easy orgasm while they waited inside the lift.
She'd begged him not to fuck her in the hall, where Sam could find them. Frankly, she hadn't had much leverage, standing there with her cloths half torn to shreds, and her self-control in similar condition, but Adam had heeded her request. Nearly dragging her into his room before stripping her naked like a conquistador about to claim new lands. She'd been sopping wet, so Adam hadn't waited, merely spinning her around and plunging into her from behind. His hand gathered in her thick dark hair, to **** her to his tempo.
"God damn, this pussy is exquisite!" Adam groaned. "Are you sure Sam isn't adopted?"
"Please- ugh, ah ah -don't talk about my daughter right nooooooooow!" Katerina's voice trailing off into a scream as she came again.
Adam smacked her jiggling ass. Hard.
"I'll talk about whatever I want when I'm fucking my woman." He growled. She tightened again at that. Seemed, Sam's mommy liked to be told what to do. Like mother, like daughter, he'd bet. "You're just a slut. MY slut."
Katerina groaned.
"You know I fuck your daughter like this, right? Cum in her too." That last part wasn't true. Not yet, anyway.
Kat snarled and tried to buck him off. "Stop fucking talking about Sam!"
Adam **** her face into the mattress and pounded her so hard she couldn't even breath, much less speak. "Or what? You'll cum on my dick again?"
She did, shamefully twisting and writhing. Hating herself for letting her nephew use her like an animal. Worse still, enjoying it.
Adam growled as he felt Kat's cervix grinding on the head of his cock. He wanted to invade her womb, to bind her to him forever. And since he couldn't give her a child...
Yet.
He'd settle for taking another piece of her that no one else had claimed yet. Sam was a tight ass, and Adam was willing to bet she'd never even experimented with her backdoor. Time to see if mommy dearest played with her dark star. Adam sucked his thumb for a moment, coating it in saliva and then, with a stroke of inspiration, venom, before teasingly nudging Katerina's sphincter. Kat nearly bolted out of her skin.
"No! I've never- that's not- its exit only Adam!" Kat cried into the sheets. Too weak to fight him off.
Adam ignored her, pressing into the tightness, gentle circles coaxing the muscles to relax even as he invaded. The venom sinking into her bloodstream only made her hornier. It wasn't a high enough dose to make her into a zombie, just a dab to bring her inner slut all the way to the surface. Adam could feel the hardness of his pounding cock through the thin walls that separated his Aunt's twin tunnels. He went to work, circling and gently retreating, before pushing back inside, breaking her in, for future use and addicting her to the painful pleasure of anal sex.
"Sam loves it when I fuck her in the ass." Or she would, Adam would make sure of that.
Kat didn't fight back this time, didn't snarl, only moaned as Adam taunted her.
It wasn't enough. He needed to break her.
Kat was awash in sensations. Her nephew had played her like a flute. Drawing every secret, even those she'd had no idea she even carried, out of her body, using her, binding her, taking her. She was his now. The thought didn't fill her with sadness, or disgust or even anything at all. It wasn't a feeling, it was just a fact. Adam owned her. But he wanted more.
"You like this?" Adam asked, hips still pounding away. Her orgasms had changed since his thumb had penetrated her backside. Before they had begun rolling together, long seas of pleasure, separated by gentle peaks of climax; now sharpened with painful gratification from her ass, something was building inside her. Something she had never felt before. Something dangerous.
"Yeeeeeeeeesssssss." Kat screamed, surprising herself.
Instead, Adam withdrew his thumb, his hips slowing, barely keeping a pace within her. Kat had become accustomed to being full to the brim with cock, without it surging into her, she felt ...empty. The distant crash was still there, hovering just beyond her reach. She writhed in frustration.
"Please, Adam." Kat begged.
"This fucking isn't free, Katerina. What will you give me for this?" He pressed.
"Any-anything."
"You'll help me with Sam. I need to find a way to have all of you. Together, and separately. No jealousy or petty bullshit. All mine." Adam commanded.
Kat looked back at him, eyes popping in disbelief. "My-Sam. You want-I can't... Not my daughter!"
Her first duty as a mother was to keep her daughter safe. Evil men would seek to devour her, she had known this fact from her own childhood; she just never thought her nephew would be one of them.
Adam pulled out, entirely. His shaft angry and purple, swaying seemingly on its own. It was a **** to be thrusting inside her as Kat was to have it back. Only Adam's will was absolute, his face, a picture of self-control. Almost indifferent. Kat was not nearly so put together.
"Please." She begged again.
Nothing.
She wiggled her hips, **** to recapture him, only for Adam to sigh and begin moving away.
"Okay fine. I will give you....." Kat trailed off, the words sticking in her mouth.
"Your daughter. Your little girl." Adam finished for her. Kat cursed her treacherous body, twitching and spasming at the filthy idea of Sam wrapped around her nephew.
She nodded.
"I want to hear you SAY it." Adam demanded as his cock pushed back inside her. The distant eruption flared back to life at his pounding thrusts. She couldn't. She shouldn't. "Say it, Katerina." Adam said again, hips beginning to slow.
Kat trembled and felt something inside her gush and give way. Something broke. Adam took it from her. But he would give her something else, she could feel that now. And Sam would learn to love what he gave her too.
"I will give you my baby. My baby girl Sam." Kat babbled. Words pouring out of her very soul. "I'll push her in to your arms. I'll hold her down if I have to, while you have your way with both of us."
"Please Adam. I'll give you anything" Kat cried out, the illusions of her life breaking away. This was what it felt like to surrender to a man. To let him do what he wanted to you. Trusting that he wouldn't simply throw you aside when he was finished. It was peaceful, lovely even. An idea surged into her minds eye, an image of herself riding her new husband- No, THEIR new husband, because suckling at her tit, just as she'd done twenty years before as a babe, was her daughter!
Kat broke, the orgasm that she'd been carrying not for a few minutes, not even for a few months, for YEARS, the release of finally letting go, crashed into her like a wave. Shooting through her so hard she couldn't even speak, she couldn't even think, she just was. Distantly she felt her self clenching, heard her nephew groaning in approval. He even rolled her to the side and fondled her breast, seeking his own pleasure now.
An eternity later, she returned to her body, Adam's gently kisses on the side of her head, at odds with the urgent thrusting. God, she was going to be sore tomorrow. She'd be lucky if she could walk!
"I'm not pulling out Katerina." Adam said, simply stating the fact. Kat found she didn't even mind. Her defenses down, her walls torn apart, she felt closer to him than ever. Yes, he had savaged her, but she could still feel the affection, the love from her nephew had for her shining through, perhaps now more than she'd ever felt in her life.
"Give me your cum, Adam." She demanded. "I want you to ruin me."
Her words finally dragged him over the edge, and cum he did. His load was titanic, filling every crevice, surely flooding into her precious womb and beyond. The excess gushed out around his shaft, still weakly thrusting, trying to push deeper still inside of her.
Adam held her after, the tenderness at odds with the **** of their love-making. 'Love-making, Jesus Kat, get a grip'. Only the stubborn thought refused to retreat. Kat didn't feel like she'd been used. Or ****. She felt good overall, sore as hell, but if that was what it cost to feel this connected to someone after sex, it was a price she would gladly pay.
"The syrettes won't work forever. I can already feel them wearing off." Adam admitted from behind her, hand still stroking her hair. "I need you. All of you. Its the only thing that helps."
"You won't hurt her, will you." It wasn't a question.
"Did I hurt you?"
"A little." Kat really thought about it. This was the man she was going to serve her daughter up to on a silver platter. Only he'd already had her, and the girl in question wanted to be eaten up. Was any of it even about Sam? Or had it been about her? Had it just been what she needed to hear? Kat had been a mom, not a good mom, but a mom all the same, for so long she'd forgotten what it felt like to be a woman. A thought occurred to her.
"If you manage to get your urges under control, if we even survive all this, you'll have three women who've laid their hearts at your feet, not just their bodies. I think you could be worthy of that. Worthy of us. But you'll have to change too. Grow large enough that a piece of you is enough for each of us. And if you take even one more step down this path, there's no turning back, no getting sick of someone. If we're yours, you're ours, no one else's. Can you promise me that?"
Adam to his credit, didn't just answer yes. He closed his eyes and thought about it, seemingly arguing with himself, before looking at her once more. "I can. And I will. I'll get this under control, but we're together now. Always and forever."
Kat nodded to herself. Her mind beginning to lock pieces of information into place, feelings and personality traits become uneven blocks to be fitted together. She ran a few scenarios in her head before speaking.
"They both want you Adam. If you're going to convince them to share you, put aside that star cruiser sized ego of yours." Kat advised.
"What do you mean?" Boys. He knew exactly what she meant, he just didn't want to hear it.
"I mean, forget about a threesome. At least for now." Adam spluttered, suddenly shy even after what they said and done just minutes before. Kat overode him. "Do you know why women have such power over men? It's because of self control. We are sexual selective by nature. Men are...not. If you go chasing after both of them, you might just lose one or both. Don't seek them out, don't follow them. Let them come to you. You'll know when the time is right."
Adam looked at her slyly. "Are you sure you aren't just trying to keep me all to yourself?"
Kat laughed. "Get me an ice pack and we'll go again tomorrow."
