(2) The Mystery of Nosy Nectar **Restart**

I'm restarting The Mystery of Nosy Nectar. I'm returning to my original idea from the last couple of years by starting the story on Friday, February 1st, rather than the recent change to Sunday, January 20th. My plans for this mystery years ago were set in a different HH continuity and would've covered events spread across a whole school year. These days, any story ideas are being placed in this main continuity. So, I grew concerned as I started planning this mystery that four weeks might not be enough time for the investigations or witness interviews. That's the reason why I moved the story up, but I also didn't like the new starting point. I want a larger, month-long time jump between Winter Holiday and this story. The new start date allows me to jump right into the action, unlike my feeling that I was merely checking off boxes with the earlier start. As for time concerns, I'm fine with the story stretching into the first weekend of March, since the spring break story doesn't start until the first week of April.

Additionally, I've discarded the newish idea of Sean suffering a setback with his foot injury. I noticed that I was writing him as too bitter and whiny about the setback. So that never happened in this new version. That's really the only significant change between the two.

Sorry for any confusion. I do feel much better about this switch, and it allows me to return to my original plan. The three chapters I've already written won't be completely wasted. I can repurpose some of the events into the new version in the near future. For now, I'll leave these three chapters up for a few days before deleting them.

This is a direct sequel to A Winter Holiday at the Cabin. I wouldn't recommend even trying to read this without first reading the previous story. A recap of A Winter Holiday is provided in a post off this page below as a way to jog the memories of past readers. It does not include everything that happened.

The story picks up three weeks after A Winter Holiday ended, and focuses on several characters investigating the infamous town gossip site. My former plans for a Valentine's Day short story have been merged into this longer tale. Additional characters will deal with the fallout from the previous story's events and the lead-up to the spring elections in the next sequel, A Sultry Spring Break at the Cabin.

Author's Note: This story will undoubtedly have more sex than A Winter Holiday. It's meant to focus on a stretch of Sean's life where he's sowing his wild oats before he reverts to his more romantic ways. Other lead characters are also turning more sexual. As a result, you can expect cheating, group sex, and **** in this story. While I know many of the readers of A Winter Holiday pointed out that they don't like ****, it's been a part of this story from the planning stages. This is likely my own story series that I can use it in, so I plan to have it happen.
