'Special' Collections

"I have to say," you begin, "what you said, 'some of our residents may surprise you', seems like a challenge to me; and one I'm finding it difficult to turn down. I would like to see some of the more surprising ones, if you don't mind."

Your guides face breaks into a grin, "Oh-ho, feeling adventurous are we? Well then, we do have a section dedicated to what we call our 'special collection'. I think that might hold precisely what you are looking for. Before we head out though, I'll give you the quick rundown. Our special collection typically involves those residents which we have difficulty placing in any one particular category. This does not include fantasy type creatures such as dragons, chimeras, and the like which have their own environment. It also includes those residents which may require very specialized habitat conditions, so choosing one of them will require extensive remodeling of your own residency or relocation altogether. Would you be okay with these conditions?"

Well, nothing ventured nothing gained, you give him a firm nod and your guide turns around, motioning for you to follow. He leads you through door after door, hallway after hallway, and you even take several elevator rides. Your guide smiles jovially the whole time, before eventually you come to a large door.

"Well here we are," your guide says as he places his palm over a hand scanner beside the door. You step into a small glass-enclosed space, allowing you to see the area beyond. All you could do was look in silence at the odd space before you as the large door slides shut behind you. If you were expecting anything, this wasn't at all what you would have imagined.

It was like some strange amalgamation of everything. You saw what looked like your normal everyday modern homes and apartment buildings alongside caves and an old-time western saloon. There were also factories of some sort, and some high tech futuristic looking buildings thrown in. You see a dense forest, and right outside of it... Was that giant pillow fort? Nothing about this place seemed to make much logical sense.

Your guide, still grinning, places his hand on another scanner which opens the door to the glass enclosure. "Well you said you wanted to be surprised, so where to first?
