"You want to save this!" You shout as you point to the cub in the nest. This monster will only grow into man-eating beast like it's a mother the thing is too dangerous to save. You fight the instint to protect something small and cute as you take the torch you had been using to light your way and chuck it on the nest. The blood-stained blankest and broken wood go up like a tinderbox.

"NOOOO!" Roars the Manticore as it's baby screams in pain. It leeps onto the nest in an attempt to save it. The flames ingulf her wounded body. You turn and leave noticing that the humans have already left. You find them huddled together and waiting for you just outside the cave.
