"You Can't Hog The Changing Room All Day !"

Apart from her hair, Debbi had dried off quickly from the rain and was now getting a little chilly as she huddled in the nude in the cramped changing cubicle. She hoped Carol would not be too much longer before bringing some outfits to try. Did she dare poke her head around the curtain to see what Carol was doing ? She decided against it and was just about to sit on the low stool provided when she heard "You in there. You going to be much longer ?"

It was one of the two sales assistants. "Er, I don't know. I'm waiting for my friend to come back with some things to try" Debbi stammered nervously. Without warning, the curtain was pulled right back, revealing Debbi to anyone who might be glancing in the direction of the cubicle. The sales girl expressed no surprise that Debbi was naked. "Well, you can't hog the changing room all the time. I've got a business to run and there are other customers waiting to use it." A middle aged woman and her daughter, with big grins on their faces, looked over at Debbi.

"But I haven't got any clothes" Debbi protested. "That's not my problem is it ? Where's that swimsuit you had on when you came in ?" the girl asked. "My friend took it, it was all wet" Debbi answered pitifully, as the sales girl took her wrist and began pulling her onto the shop floor and into clear view. "Where's my friend ?" Debbi cried. "I don't know" the girl replied unhelpfully. "She said she had a text saying she'd left her car lights on and she'd have to go back to switch them off." Carol was, in fact, contentedly enjoying a leisurely coffee in the bar next door !

"Is there somewhere in the back I can wait ?" Debbi asked desperately, as she began to attract more attention from the half dozen or so other customers in the shop, including a couple of husbands or boyfriends. "That's strictly staff only, all our stock's back there and you could be a shoplifter" was the reply from the other salesgirl who had joined them. "But where would I hide anything ? " Debbi wailed, holding her arms wide, to laughter from those looking on. "That's as maybe. Rules are rules. You'll have to wait out here, though we close in half an hour and you'll have to leave then !"

The women who were with their menfolk had been disgusted to see Debbi but on hearing this they began to laugh more. "Hope your friend turns up in time love, or it'll be a long walk home !" one said. Debbi began to feel spotlit under the fluorescent lighting in the store and she was uncomfortably aware that those passing by in the mall outside would be able to see her clearly if she caught their eye. Initially her luck held but then one of a gang of adolescent girls caught sight of her as she was window shopping and immediately began beckoning frantically to her companions !
