"Well, I had wanted to see my room first."

"Well..." Cody began. "I was hoping I might see my room first if that's alright?" In all of the confusion in packing his things and finally making it to the boarding house Cody had never had the chance to actually see what room he would be staying in.

A small frown seemed to appear over Vivian's face for a moment but she conceded that it was fine he do so. "There is one little thing, i'm afraid..." she began, a small tinge of disappointment in her voice. "Unfortunately your room isn't quite ready. There was some last minute maintenance that we needed to address before we can allow anyone to full move in. Unfortunately it's not likely to be completed until tomorrow evening at the earliest."

"Tomorrow e... but where will I stay?" Cody asked. A bit of panic was taking him now. His parents lived quite a ways away from the city he had chosen to enroll in college and, without the room he was expecting, he was finding himself quite suddenly without a place to stay for the night. A quickly raised hand from Vivian calmed him down however.

"Now don't panic, dear. We've arranged a temporary roommate. Sam has volunteered to let you share their room just down the hall to the left." she said in her ever calm tone, gesturing down one of the many halls to a bedroom. "It will only be for the night, i'm sure. We should have your own room prepared by then."

She was already turning to make her way into her office when paused a moment to turn back and offer a word of advice. "Sam tends to... play rough. I would suggest limbering up before anything happens." And with that her door was closed.

Sam, huh? Well, Cody wasn't too entirely worried. After all, a little rough housing was expected between guys, right? Besides, it was only going to be for one night so whatever hassle he might get into today was only going to be temporary. Most of all he really wanted to take a nap at this point and, if Sam wasn't currently present, he'd take one quickly while they were out. Of course there was no need to head there directly now that he had free reign of the house. It might be a good time for him to explore his new living situation.
