"We're going home now."
Christina was about halfway off the stage when she heard the MC bellow:
"Everyone please let Christina know how good of a sport she's being huh? Let's all give her a round of applause."
The audience gave her a warm ovation and the initial shock of crumbled up newspaper in her mouth had begun to wear off. The MC continued:
"Come on back Christina and let's take a bow alright!"
Christina stood still for a moment and though her impulse was to continue fleeing she was still handcuffed. She thought "Well what harm can a bow do?" and returned to the stage. To Christina's dismay Mimi slid her arms through her armholes again, but this time just to take the MC's hand and do a bow with him. Mimi looked up at the audience as she bowed Christina forward and smiled. Bringing Christina back upright she removed her arms and quickly undid Christina's cuffs and stepped out from behind her. Both the MC and Mimi gestured towards Christina and encouraged her to take another bow. Mimi walked up to Christina and gave her a big hug.
"Thank you - it was so fun to have you up here. I've done that bit with 1,000 different audience members and you were the best." Mimi spoke into Christina's ear. Christina blushed and looked Mimi in the eyes. Mimi had grey blue eyes that pierced from the white and black mime makeup on her face. She had a kindness behind them, almost hypnotic. Mimi took Christina's hand for a moment and with that she turned around and walked backstage as Christina began to head back to Jason.
"Thank you everyone you've been a fantastic audience really! Don't forget to tip your servers on the way out and we'll be back next week with another variety!" The MC announced and took a final bow.
Jason lauded Christina on her performance on the way back to her apartment. As they pulled into the driveway Jason looked down to see his phone buzzing. "I'm sorry it's a work call. We just put in an offer acquiring a pretty significant IP. I gotta take this - I'll see you up there ok." Jason gave Christina a gentle kiss and answered the phone.
Christina walked up the stairs of her apartment complex with her thoughts still on what had only happened half an hour earlier. She had never let someone just control her like that before. Her mind kept lingering back to Mimi's eyes and the hold they had on her. She couldn't believe she let somebody embarrass her like that too, but had to admit that she found the laughter exciting. Christina had never been viewed as particularly funny so it was a very bold experience for her. As her thoughts continued to drift she startled herself as she looked up and saw the same woman she was thinking about but this time without makeup or mime garb. Mimi was unlocking the door of the apartment across from Christina. Christina stood there dumbstruck until Mimi feeling a presence looking at her turned around. The same piercing eyes met Christina's. Mimi looked her over and gave a charmed smirk.
"Hello! Well... isn't this a surprise?" Mimi sort of chuckled as she adjusted her short blonde hair. "I just moved in 2 days ago. Small world."
"Well uh-uh-uh, welcome to the building." Christina stammered out with the sort of nervousness you'd expect from a teenager. "Would you uh-uh-uh like some coffee?"
"Sure that sounds lovely" Mimi replied as Christina invited her into her apartment. Christina kicked off her heels as they walked into the doorway. She couldn’t explain it but Mimi just made her feel so awkward. There was a confidence and poise that radiated off of Mimi. "Please sit down wherever you'd like ok! Make yourself comfortable." Christina spoke as she headed to her bedroom. Standing in front of her closet mirror she found herself adjusting her curly red hair and looking over her outfit. Tired of the work uniform she opened her closet and put away the suit jacket and replaced it with an autumn patterned shawl that she slid over her head.
Mimi had been watching her from the doorway with curiosity. She was drawn to Christina like a magnet. The fact that they lived across from one another couldn’t just be a coincidence. Christina turned around to once again meet those same eyes.
"O-o-oh! Is there anything I can get you?" Christina asked with her nerves getting more frayed the more she stared at Mimi. It was a feeling somewhere between butterflies in her stomach and a pounding in her chest.
"I have never done that skit tonight with someone like that before, and I have to tell you it was sort of unlike anything I've ever felt." Mimi spoke with a calm sincerity. "I usually just get behind the volunteer become their hands but as soon as I could tell you were gonna have trouble leading the conversation I just thought 'Oh I'll do her voice too'. I just loved puppeting you around. It was sort of arousing.”
Christina was sort of speechless. She knew that she felt an excitement from Mimi when she was behind her but she didn't realize how deeply it was felt. Mimi got closer to Christina and asked "Where is your man friend?"
"Oh Jason? He’s answering a w-w-work call right now." Christina managed to get out.
"You seem… nervous. I think I'd like to help you out on the rest of your date tonight." Mimi said as she began to remove her jacket to reveal a red sleeveless top underneath that was matched with black jeans and Doc Marten boots.
Christina couldn't even get out another word before Mimi had grabbed her by the waist and turned her around. "Here this won't be as uncomfortable as those cuffs." Mimi took Christina's shawl and lifted it placed it over the both of them. Christina felt Mimi take her hands and clasp them behind the both of them as if Christina was giving Mimi a backwards hug. Mimi wrapped her scarf around Christina's hands multiple times and made a quick knot as a makeshift form of binding.
Christina looked at herself in the mirror as this all happened. She kinda giggled as she looked at her new humpback under her shawl. Mimi slid her right arm through Christina's armhole and reached out and grabbed Christina's chest as she slid her left arm through as well. Christina felt Mimi press herself up against her and watched as "her" new expressive arms made their return. "Hello hello who is this fine lady." Mimi spoke from behind but instead of a thick comedic east coast accent she spoke with an impression of Christina.
Christina's eyes widened at the voice coming from behind her as "her" arms began to play with her and one hand tugged the shawl. "Her" hands rested on her hips and they rocked her hips back and forth.
"Hey beautiful... nice shawl. Wonder who got you that?" Jason jokingly asked standing in the doorway.
Mimi quickly shuffled them around and wagged her pointer finger at Jason. "Now don't you know it's rude to sneak up on a lady like that" Mimi chided as Christina flapped her lips. "Go put some coffee on I'm not ready yet." Mimi flipped Christina’s hair back as she spoke.
Jason chuckled and turned to head towards the kitchen. "Christina's" left hand gave a flirty wave as he walked away and "her" right hand rested on her hip. Christina found herself under Mimi's control again and she thought she kinda liked it.
